Victoria Beckham gave her own dress to Mel C for her intimate wedding
Recently, Mel C and Victoria Beckham had a conversation with Vogue, during which they revealed interesting details about their wedding outfit. They stated that the idea around Mel C's wedding dress came randomly during a casual dinner. At that time, Victoria asked Mel C what she had been doing. And she replied that she has plans of flying to Australia for her wedding.
This left Victoria Beckham surprised. Further, when she asked about the wedding dress, Mel C explained that her idea was to choose an outfit from her collection; however, it did not fit. And since she had no time for alteration. But Victoria had very different plans. The entrepreneur revealed that she owned the same dress and without a single thought, she offered Mel C her dress. Recalling the situation, Victoria explained:
"I was actually having dinner with Melanie and asked her what she was up to. She very casually told me she was leaving for Australia in two days and getting married! When I asked what she was wearing, she mentioned she had actually ordered one of my dresses but that it didn’t quite fit, and she didn’t have time to get it altered before leaving. I happened to have that exact dress in my own wardrobe and offered to lend it to her."
Further, Mel C opened up about her wedding dress and appreciated Victoria Beckham’s collection of outfits. The singer also revealed that Victoria was very excited for it. In her words:
"Victoria wanted to make it much more personal to me. She found some gorgeous vintage lace, and everything was really delicately dyed to the perfect shade. It’s very flattering, open at the back. Victoria was so excited about being able to do this for me, and having her and Scarlet there ... every step of the way has been very special. Plus, I just love her clothes."

If reports are to be believed, Mel C and Chris's love story began in November 2023, after meeting on a dating app named Raya. Slowly and gradually, their friendship blossomed into love. In July 2025, Chris proposed to Mel C, during their romantic holiday in Spain. However, it is worth mentioning that the couple kept their engagement extremely private.
In a recent conversation with Vogue, the singer and songwriter opened up about her dreamy proposal. Recalling the special day, Mel C was quoted as saying:
"We were staying in a beautiful hotel, and we’d had the tasting menu with the wine pairing, so this meal was taking forever. Even the staff were like, ‘You’re nearly there!'. It was beautiful, just the two of us. He couldn’t believe I was surprised, but I was floored."
On July 18, 2026, Mel C and Chris Dingwall exchanged vows in England. For the big day, the singer looked nothing less than an angel in an ivory wedding gown. Reportedly, the dress included a simple slip silhouette, draped neckline, an open back and eye-catching lace details. On the other hand, Chris opted for a classic black tuxedo with a black bow.
