Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot with each other in December 2021, after secretly dating each other for two years. The duo had a big, fat Indian wedding in the presence of family members and a few friends in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. As Vicky graced the latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8 with Kiara Advani, he shed some light on his personal life.
During the episode, Vicky Kaushal opened up about his first meeting with his in-laws and revealed that he met Katrina Kaif's mother, Suzanne Turquotte, for the first time a week before the wedding. Elaborating on the same, he shared that he couldn't meet them for two years because of COVID-19, and it finally happened when he hosted a party at his home before his and Katrina's wedding. He said:
"I couldn't meet them for two years because of COVID. So, I met them for the first time, literally a week before marriage. We had a party at my place, and we were all drinking and dancing."

Vicky Kaushal revealed how the ice was broken between him and his in-laws and said that they instantly got connected with each other. After a few drinks, they all danced on the floor to Tip Tip Barsa Paani in the first meeting. Vicky recalled:
"Instantly, we saw something in each other and just connected. Two hours into meeting each other and we were dancing on the floor to Tip Tip Barsa Paani in the first meeting. The ice was broken, melted and gone."
During the same episode, Vicky Kaushal revealed that he proposed to Katrina Kaif just a day before the wedding in a very dramatic way. The actor revealed that it was during a special dinner at their wedding destination amid a beautiful setup. Vicky added that he did it at the very last minute because everyone warned him that he would have to hear it for the rest of his life if he didn't propose. So, he did it just before any of their friends and families could arrive at the venue.

Earlier, during an interaction with Aaj Tak, Vicky Kaushal opened up about his married life with his wife, Katrina Kaif and revealed that he has not changed after marrying her. However, he added that his life has become more lively, and even his parents, Sham and Veena Kaushal, have got a daughter they always wanted. He said:
“There is a joy in life. And, like my parents always say, ‘Humein humesha se ek beti chahiye thi, humein vo beti mil gayi.’ So, yes, it is a very good feeling to be married.”
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in the film, Sam Bahadur.
