Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who tied the knot in February 2023, had the most filmy wedding moments. Ever since their wedding, the duo has been winning hearts with their love and respect for each other. The actors fell in love on the sets of their film, Shershaah, and even added a touch of the film at their wedding. However, now, Kiara revealed that Sidharth's proposal also had a Shershaah touch, which is too filmy.
During her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8, Kiara Advani revealed that Sidharth Malhotra proposed to her on their first family holiday in Rome. She added that she had a little inclination that he would propose to her, so she suggested that he ask her parents' permission. However, Kiara's mom got COVID, so she went on holiday with Sid and his parents. She said:
“You know when Sid came to that episode, we’ve just come back from Rome where he proposed to me. My parents weren’t there. It was our first family holiday with me and his family. I had a little bit of inclination that he would propose. I told him that ‘You have to speak to my parents', and he said ‘Are you kidding me?’ I said, ‘Yeah, you first ask them and take their permission, let’s do it like the right way. They will be happy.’ My mom unfortunately had COVID so she couldn’t travel with us. So I went with his parents.”

Kiara further shared that Sidharth's proposal came as a surprise for her as she had no idea when and where he would do so. However, she hoped for a dreamy proposal moment which she had already built up in her head. Sharing details of the proposal, Kiara mentioned that Sid took her to a Michelin-star restaurant at their first destination on that trip. She added:
“It did come as a surprise because I did not know where on this trip, and also in my head, I was like, I hope he does propose because now I’ve built it up and if he doesn’t propose on this trip, but he did it. So it was the first destination we went to on that trip. He took us to this Michelin star restaurant, and his nephew was with us, who was supposed to take the photos and capture the moment.”
Kiara revealed that she was super sleepy and tired as she had just landed there, but Sidharth had already planned everything. After having a candlelight dinner, the duo went on a walk, where a violinist started playing melodious tunes. Soon, Sid went down on his knee and proposed to Kiara in Shershaah style, leaving her in splits and overwhelmed. She said:
“I’m sleepy because I have just landed and joined them on this trip. So, I was really tired. And he has planned the work. He has done this candlelight dinner on top. We go back after dinner. He takes me up for a walk, and suddenly a violinist comes out of the bushes playing, and sweetly his nephew takes our video from the bushes, and Sid goes on one knee and proposes. I was so overwhelmed. Then he starts saying the lines of Shershaah. He’s like, ‘Dilli ka sidha sadha launda hu...' with the full dialogues of Shershaah and I burst out laughing.”

During the famous rapid-fire round of the show, Kiara Advani revealed that she loves the way Sidharth Malhotra values people and hates nothing about him. However, she added that she hates it when he stresses her out by not getting dressed on time whenever they have to attend an event. She was heard saying:
"I love the way he values people. I tolerate the way he stresses me out every time I've to get ready for an event because he's not ready, so the stress comes out on me. I must say I am always pretty punctual. And I don't hate anything. I mean, there is nothing to hate about him."
