South superstar, Ram Charan and his wife, Upasana Konidela are on cloud nine as they are all set to embrace parenthood for the first time. The much-in-love couple will soon join the parents club and they can't wait to hold their little munchkin in their arms. For the unversed, Ram and Upasana announced their pregnancy news on December 12, 2022, after ten years of marital bliss. Moreover, the soon-to-be mommy often gets spotted flaunting her baby bump. And now, Upasana dropped a beautiful picture of herself as she celebrated her first Mother's Day.
On May 14, 2023, the soon-to-be mommy, Upasana Konidela took to her Instagram handle and dropped a beautiful picture from her first Mother's Day. In the picture, the mom-to-be can be seen posing happily for the camera. Moreover, she exuded pregnancy glow as she flaunted her baby bump in a black-coloured full-sleeved t-shirt which she paired with matching hued tights. Along with the picture, Upasana penned a heartfelt note on embracing motherhood and revealed she is proud of herself as she decided to become a mother when she was ready for it. In her words:
"I am proud to embrace motherhood for all the right reasons. I did not do it to conform to society's expectations or to fit. My decision to become a mother was not driven by a desire to carry on a legacy or to strengthen my marriage."

Further, in her note, Upasana opened up about her pregnancy and revealed that she decided to have a child when she was emotionally prepared for the new journey of her life. Mentioning how she is now ready to shower unconditional love on her child, Upasana wrote:
"I chose to have a child when I was emotionally prepared to give unconditional love & care that my child deserves for his/her overall well-being."
Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Upasana had opened up about her pregnancy journey and revealed that she is currently in her third trimester. Talking about the same, the soon-to-be mommy revealed that her baby is due in July 2023. She also talked about embracing parenthood with her actor-husband, Ram Charan and shared that they are very excited. Upasana added that her husband has been very supportive throughout her pregnancy. Adding that she would like to give her child the freedom to be themselves, Upasana said:
"Like every parent, we are also excited. The child will be allowed the freedom to be themselves but with a certain set of guidelines and responsibility that they actually carry forward because sometimes fame comes with a huge responsibility and it must be valued."

On December 12, 2023, Upasana and Ram shared their 'good news' with their fans. Taking to her IG handle, she announced their pregnancy through a heart-warming picture note, featuring a photograph of Lord Hanuman on it. In the note, Ram Charan and Upasana requested their loved ones for their blessings as they embarked on a new journey. The message on the post could be read as:
"With the blessings of Shri Hanuman Ji, we are delighted to share that Upasana and Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With love and gratitude, Surekha and Chiranjeevi Konidela, Shobana and Anil Kamineni."
