Karisma Kapoor needs no introduction as the stunning actress who had ruled the silver screen in the 80s and the 90s had made a name on her own with her sheer determination. Despite being born in the first family of Bollywood, the Kapoor khandaan, she had to struggle her way out to become a successful actress. Karisma is the first Kapoor daughter, who dared to break the rule and set her journey in Bollywood at the mere age of 17. Born to actor, Randhir Kapoor and actress, Babita, Karisma had made her debut with Prem Qaidi but after a series of flops, she had tasted success and stardom with the movie, Raja Hindustani. And since then, there was no looking back for this stunning actress.
While scrolling through our social media feed, we stumbled upon a throwback picture of Karisma Kapoor with her chachu, Rishi Kapoor. In the picture, Rishi Kapoor was seen carrying baby Karisma in his arms. While baby Karisma was seen crying uncontrollably, her Chintu chacha was trying his best to cheer her up.
Although Karisma had made her debut with Prem Qaidi, the actress had wanted to begin her career with her grandfather, Raj Kapoor’s film Henna, released in the same year. In a throwback interview, Karisma had revealed how she would have loved to be a part of Henna. But things did not work out, as the film had featured her chachu, Rishi Kapoor. The late veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor had played the lead role in the film and the family had thought that it would lead to various gossips about a niece romancing her uncle, which will not work well for both the actors.
Rishi Kapoor had bid adieu to the world and left for the heavenly abode on April 30, 2020. On the same day, Karisma had shared a childhood picture of herself with her grandfather, Raj Kapoor, and chachu, Risi Kapoor. Along with the adorable picture, Karisma had written an emotional note for her Chintu chacha. Her not could be read as “Always looking over family… Chintu uncle will miss discussing food and restaurants with you... #uncle #legend.”

On Rishi Kapoor’s 68th birth anniversary, Karisma Kapoor had taken to her IG handle to wish her late 'Chintu uncle', Rishi Kapoor in the sweetest way. She had posted a beautiful picture of the legendary actor, Rishi Kapoor's big wall painting on Bandra Bandstand and had written, "Happy birthday Chintu uncle. You're missed."
In January 2021, Karisma had taken to her IG handle and had posted a then-and-now collage with her mother, Babita and aunt, Neetu Kapoor, which was originally shared by a fan page on Instagram. The first picture was a throwback from Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s wedding, as we could spot a shy bride, Neetu Kapoor, her jethani, Babita and a very young Karisma. The second picture was a recent one from their Republic Day get-together, and it gives a close-up look of the three beautiful ladies of the Kapoor family. Reposting the collage on her IG story, Karisma added, “Family” and “Time Flies” stickers.
