'The Odyssey' Fame Tom Holland Describes Zendaya As His 'Wife', Months After Their Secret Wedding

Apart from that, Tom and Zendaya have also been grabbing attention ever since reports claimed that they secretly got married. Well, now, the Spider-Man actor has confirmed it.
Tom Holland calls Zendaya his ‘wife’, weeks after secret wedding
Recently, The Odyssey star Tom Holland appeared on DJ Nick Grimshaw and chef Angela Hartnett's podcast named Dish. During the same, when the actor was asked, 'Which person would you like a holiday in Greece with?', he instantly took his wife, Zendaya's name and said:
"I think probably my wife would be pretty good. It would be a bit strange if I went, ‘Sorry babe, I’m gonna take Matt [Damon, Holland and Zendaya’s Odyssey costar] actually."
Hearing this, the podcast host DJ Nick Grimshaw seemed impressed with Tom Holland’s reply and shared, "I’m just having 10 days in Mykonos with Matt Damon." However, it is worth mentioning that this isn’t the first time Tom Holland has addressed Zendaya as his ‘wife’. A few days ago, Tom sat down with the cast of the film and said that 'Athena' couldn't love 'Odysseus' romantically because "she’s married to me."
Amid this, did you know that Zendaya once threatened to leave Tom Holland if he did not accept the role in The Odyssey. A few weeks ago, Tom revealed that when he was offered the film, he was doubtful because he was supposed to start the shooting of another film. Recalling Zendaya’s reaction, Tom Holland said:
"I sat down with Z and was like, ‘I’ve been offered this movie. And she was like, ‘By who?’ And I was like, ‘It’s the big one.’ And she was like, ‘Chris?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s Chris Nolan.’ Z said, ‘I’ll leave you if you don’t do The Odyssey.’"
Talking about the movie, The Odyssey, it is based on the ancient poem of the same name. It follows the 10-year-long journey of 'Odysseus' to return to his home after the Trojan war. Apart from Tom and Zendaya, it stars Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, Eliot Page, Charlize Theron and more.
Tom Holland and Zendaya haven’t shared the official photos from their wedding
It is worth mentioning that Tom Holland and Zendaya sparked wedding rumours in early 2026. Reports suggested that the pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony. As of now, neither Tom Holland nor Zendaya has shared the official photos from their wedding ceremony. However, they have often addressed each other as husband and wife.
Prior to this, at the Golden Globes 2026, Zendaya was spotted wearing an engagement ring. While she didn’t comment anything on that, netizens were convinced that she exchanged rings with her longtime boyfriend, Tom Holland. For those who do not know, Tom and Zendaya are the perfect example of film-set romance, as they fell for each other while filming Spider-Man franchise.
A few weeks ago, Tom Holland spoke about his now-wife, Zendaya, during the cover story of Esquire and revealed how she is perfect for him. Tom Holland was quoted as saying:
"Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time. We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else. So, for me, I found my person. She's my best friend, and I'm the happiest I have ever been when I'm with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period."
