The heritage palace has become the talk of the town ever since it was reported that Nickyanka (as fans affectionately call them), will take their nuptial plunge here. On December 1-2, 2018, Priyanka and Nick will become wife and husband to each other at this venue. Now, reportedly, there is another Bollywood wedding going to take place at Umaid Bhawan Palace after Priyanka’s wedding. Reportedly, veteran actor Kulbhushan Kharbanda’s daughter, Shruti Kharbanda will get married to her long-time boyfriend, Rohit Navale on December 17, 2018, at the same location. Seems like this palace has become favourite among the Bollywood celebs.
Shruti and Rohit got engaged earlier in August 2018. Their wedding festivities will start on December 16 at Umaid Bhawan with sangeet and mehendi. As per BollywoodLife, the dress code for haldi ceremony is ethnic and western for their sangeet. Aamir Khan, who worked with Kulbhushan Kharbanda in Lagaan is reportedly going to attend the wedding.
Coming back to Priyanka and Nick, they are going to have a royal wedding at the famous Rajasthan venue, so much so that choppers have been booked for Priyanka and Nick to arrive at the wedding venue. A representative of Mewar Helicopter Services confirmed it by saying, “Only one helicopter has been booked for November 29 and December 3. Priyanka will be boarding the helicopter from Udaipur and the helicopter will directly land at Umaid Bhawan Palace on November 29. She will be returning to Udaipur on December 3 by boarding the helicopter from the wedding venue itself. We are yet to receive the names of the people boarding the helicopter from Udaipur. Nick Jonas might join her as well. The same helicopter has also been booked to ferry guests from Jodhpur airport to Umaid Bhawan Palace. The helicopter will take five-six rounds to ferry the guests.”
As per a Filmfare report, "Priyanka and Nick are very excited for their wedding celebrations and just before they begin mehendi and other ceremonies, they will have a small pooja for everything to start on a good note. Other than their Mumbai reception, they will also be hosting a wedding reception in Delhi for Priyanka’s relatives." Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra was recently spotted at the venue and was asked about the same. She replied “Mera bahut pasandida shehar hai. Saari duniya chhodkar hum yahaan aaye hain. (This city is my favourite. We left aside the whole world to come to this place).” Speaking about the wedding preparations, she added, “Ab shaadi dekh lena. Abhi se kya bataaun. Jab ho jaaye, tab baat karenge (You will see it when it happens. What do I say about it now? We will talk when it happens) (sic).”
A source also told Mid-Day, Nickyanka’s wedding outfits and reported, “While the bridal trousseau will be an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla creation, she will sport a Ralph Lauren ensemble for the Christian wedding. The couple will exchange Tiffany wedding bands.” The source also added that in the guest list, many Hollywood names are expected, “Though Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, may not make it, many Hollywood names are expected.
