Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s soon-to-be two-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan’s immense popularity has surpassed the fan-following of major celebrities and star families, including his own. But of late, more than Taimur’s special ‘hi’ and ‘bye’, what is making the headlines is his toy and it has taken the internet by the storm. A toy store in Kerala came up with Taimur-inspired toys and proved that junior Pataudi’s popularity knows no bounds. But even before Taimur Ali Khan’s parents, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, his half-sister, Sara Ali Khan got a chance to hold his look-alike doll. Just like the nation, Sara is also very fond of her little brother, Taimur and when she received the toy, she couldn’t let go of it. Sara shared a picture on her Instagram wherein she posed for a “perfect matrimonial style display picture” in a red suit, her outfit from the promotions of her film, Kedarnath.
During the promotions of Kedarnath, Sara was presented with this special gift on the singing reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2018. Though the doll itself garnered much praise as well as trolls from the netizens, what amazed us the most was Sara Ali Khan’s warm reaction to it. Sara received the doll with the utmost love and hugged it the moment she got it. Even when she came down from the stage, she didn't let go of it.
Isn’t that adorable? But do you know how Saif and Kareena reacted to ‘Taimur inspired doll’? Saif had stated, “Maybe I should trademark his name…The least they could do is send me one! I am glad people are benefiting from him. I only ask God for his safety and happiness in return.”
Even Kareena reacted on the same and told Mumbai Mirror, “Taimur can’t run away from his popularity and neither can his parents. When I saw the doll, I wondered what was I supposed to say. But Saif pointed out that it is because people love him so much and such things are a blessing for him. There is so much genuine warmth for our son that it’s bad to stop people from clicking his pictures or making his dolls. But, they should understand that he is a two-year-old child and needs a normal life. Both Saif and I are struggling to give him that and will continue to do so without telling the media to back off, no matter how annoying it gets after a point. Recently while promoting Kedarnath, in an interaction with a popular radio channel, Sara was asked what is the cutest thing that Taimur does when he sees her. To which, she revealed that the little one calls her “Gol”. She further went on to reveal that Taimur calls Kareena as ‘Amma’, Saif as ‘Abba’ and Ibrahim as ‘Bhai’. But when the RJ asked her why Taimur calls her Gol, and is it because she is “Golu”, it shocks Sara as she wonders if she is “Golu”. To which, Sara's Kedarnath co-star Sushant intervened and said that Taimur must be calling her 'Gold' as she is for the film fraternity which makes the newcomer blush.
When Taimur Ali Khan turned one on December 20, 2017, the Pataudi and Kapoor clan celebrated this special day with close friends and family at their Pataudi residence. From dadi Sharmila Tagore to nana-nani Randhir Kapoor and Babita, maasi Karisma Kapoor with kids Samiera and Kiaan, everyone was present at the bash. But the absence of Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Khan left people wondering if something is wrong between the families.
But soon a source close to the family shared to a media portal, clarifying such baseless reports, “Both Ibrahim and Sara are close to Kareena and are often seen partying with Saif and Kareena at their Bandra home, so when Sara and Ibrahim didn’t attend the birthday bash in Pataudi, it took many in B-Town by surprise. Both were spotted at their gyms the whole of last week as they didn’t fly down to Pataudi. But before people start thinking there’s a rift between the brother-sister duo and Saif and Kareena, they will be wrong. Fact is, Sara was prepping with the Kedarnath crew as she has been continuously shooting for the film for over two weeks now. While Taimur’s birthday was on December 20, her schedule was for the next few days after that and her director had wanted Sara to stay back for some workshops. It's a challenging film and Sara is completely focusing on her debut film now.”
The source further added, “Ibrahim is in town on his Christmas vacay as he’s been pursuing further studies in London and he too decided to stay back with his sister in Mumbai as they are very close and spend some time with her.
