Darshan Thoogudeepa’s Kannada movie, The Devil has hit the theatres on December 11, 2025. The movie has been hogging the limelight, as the actor is reportedly in the Ballari Central Prison. This is because he has been connected with the Renukaswamy murder case. Rachna Rai is also seen alongside Darshan in the action-packed movie, which also features Mahesh Manjrekar, Achyuth Kumar, Sharmiela Mandre, Roger Narayanan, Shobhraj, and Srinivas Prabhu.

Prakash Veer directed The Devil has Darshan, playing dual roles as an innocent dreamer and also the unhinged antagonist. When the paths of 'Dhanush' and 'Krishna' collide, 'Rukmini' played by Rachana Rai is shown to be the emotional seat of conflict. The movie showcases how 'Krishna' manages to juggle the pressures of corruption while trying to maintain balance and protect the folks who believe in him.
