Aaron Savella's whole world fell apart in just the blink of an eye. His ex-wife allegedly killed their little princess and then took her own life as well. Aaron, who was eagerly waiting for his daughter, Vivian's arrival in his home, instead got the news of her eternal departure. After losing his kid and ex-wife, she shared a poignant statement through his attorney, Stefani Shapiro.
The counsel, on behalf of Aaron and the bereaved family, told The Post that they were "devastated" at the unforseen happening. Attorney Stefani stated that Aaron was in disbelief at the tragic circumstances under which little Vivian passed away. They remembered the four-year-old as the light of their lives and as someone who was "loved without limit."
"Our family is devastated. Vivian was four years old. She was loved without limit by her father, Aaron, and by everyone whose life she touched. There are no words for what has been taken from us."
Aaron's attorney called him a law-abiding citizen who did everything by the book. According to Stefani, Vivian's dad did everything he could to protect her and waited patiently for the court to hand over her primary custody to him. Cibelle was supposed to hand over Vivian to her ex-husband, Aaron Savella, on Tuesday evening (September 29, 2026), and he was looking forward to his daughter's arrival.
However, Aaron's wish never got fulfilled as Cibelle fatally shot Vivian in their Houston home and then turned the gun on herself, according to the Houston Police Department and the attorney. The grieving dad's lawyer's statement went on to make a poignant remark- "Fathers who fight quietly, patiently, and within the law to protect their children, their stories are rarely told." Explaining Aaron's side of the story, Stefani stated:
"Aaron did everything the law asks of a parent who is trying to protect his child. He trusted the courts. He followed every order. He waited for the process to work. On Tuesday, a judge placed Vivian in his primary care, and she was supposed to come home to him that evening. She never did."

Houston police officers responded to the 300 block of Terra Reserve around 5:45 p.m. following reports of a shooting on the home's third floor. Inside, they found Vivian suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no confirmation of whether she had psychological issues.
The officials noted that both Vivian and her mother were inside the home at the time of the shooting. The mother, Cibelle, was also reportedly found severely injured from what is believed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face. She was taken to a hospital for treatment, but HPD later reported that she also died the next day.
The child's stepfather and a babysitter were also reportedly present inside the house when the shooting occurred. They reportedly heard the gunshots and forced their way into Vivian's bedroom, where they attempted to help her before emergency responders arrived. Investigators are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the apparent murder-suicide.
