Tanuj Virwani is one of the most handsome actors in Tinseltown. The dashing actor has won hearts with some of his impeccable performances in movies and shows like Code M, Inside Edge, One Night Stand, Purani Jeans, Poison, Abhay amongst others. For the unversed, Tanuj is the son of veteran actress, Rati Agnihotri. Fast forward to now, the actor is all set to get hitched to his ladylove and fiancee, Tanya Jacob in December 2023. In a recent interaction, he talks about the same.
In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, Tanuj Virwani talked about his upcoming wedding in December. The actor is all set to get married to his longtime ladylove and now-fiancee, Tanya Jacob. He talked about his wedding preparations and shared that he is in-charge of planning everything on the most important day of his life. Hilariously adding how he is a die-hard movie lover and wouldn’t mind watching a film on his wedding itself, he said:
“I prefer being in charge of the biggest day of my life. So we are keeping it within the family. I am a huge SRK fan so I can’t wait, I am going tonight. They all think I am crazy for going to watch a movie in the middle of my wedding preparations, but I am a die-hard fan, I have to go.”

Well, the actor is quite geared up for his D-Day. However, it is his mother, Rati Agnihotri who is finally relieved to see his beta finally getting hitched. Tanuj shared that his mother has been waiting for his marriage ever since he turned 30. Moreover, he added that her mother shares a great equation with his fiancee, Tanya. In his words:
“My mother is very relieved. She has been waiting for me to get married from the day I turned 30. I turned 37 a couple of days back so it has been 7 years of ‘shaadi karlo beta, kab tak dating karte rahoge’. When I broke the news to her that this is what we have decided, she was very happy, also because she is very fond of Tanya. We go back a long way and she has got her own equation with her. I would never want to marry anyone without my parents’ approval.”
Going further in the interview, Tanuj Virwani opened up about his equation with ladylove, Tanya Jacob. He revealed that he met her back in 2016 when she shifted to Mumbai from Singapore for some work. He added that they instantly hit it off with one another and within one and a half years, he developed feelings for her.
After Tanuj expressed his feelings to Tanya, he clearly mentioned not keeping a long-distance relationship with her. As a result, Tanya, too shifted her base and moved in his home. He added that both their parents are cool with it, and in his head and heart, he already feels married to her.

Speaking about his D-Day, the dashing actor revealed that he doesn’t feel nervous before his marriage. He claimed to be chilled as he considers the wedding just as a matter of formalities. In his words:
“If your intent is true, and you are living together for a long time, you are as good as married. That’s probably the reason why I don’t have any butterflies, because it’s just a question of formalities. I am chilled, I am looking forward to the wedding. When you are getting into a relationship, you have a responsibility towards her and her family. You have to be 100% sure.”
In the concluding segment of the interview, Tanuj Virwani made some interesting revelations about his wedding. The actor revealed that that the pre-wedding festivities will kickstart with a haldi ceremony on December 24, 2023. Their wedding, that would take place on December 25, 2023, will be preceded by a Jingle Ball Christmas-themed party. Sharing more about his baarat, the actor said:
“On the 25th morning we have the baraat, followed by pheras around 12:30. There will be a lunch after the pheras. And then in the evening, we have fused the sangeet and reception into one event. The first night we are going to be focusing more on my family members and close friends. There will be some dance performances and magic tricks. On the second night we have some more dance performances and stand-up comedy planned. It’s all being done by my friends, that’s the advantage of having friends in the fraternity.”
Tanuj also spoke about the outfits that he and Tanya are going to wear on their wedding. He mentioned that for his pre-wedding festivities on December 24, 2023, he has styled his own outfit, that includes a tuxedo. But for his pheras and the main wedding, he would be wearing sherwanis by the eminent fashion designer, Raghavendra Rathore. However, the actor stated that he isn’t aware of his ladylove, Tanya’s outfits, since he isn’t suppose to see them before the D-Day. He also revealed his honeymoon plans and shared that he and Tanya would be travelling to Paris, Prague and Budapest, heading out on January 2, 2023.
