Apart from being a fitness enthusiast, Sushmita is also a beautiful human being, who never fails to exude positivity all around. However, the actress had a major health scare as she suffered a heart attack in March 2023 while working on one of her assignments.
Recently, a Reddit user shared two pictures of Sushmita Sen from one of her launch events for a brand. The actress was seen doing the brand endorsement of Titan watches as she posed with a lady dressed in a black-hued saree. In the pictures, Sushmita looked stunning in a black-hued midi dress with sheer lace detailing near the neckline. With her glam makeup and wavy curls, the actress left everyone gasping for breath. However, the user pointed out the weird facial features of Sushmita and penned:
"OMG what did i just see? (In frame: Sushmita sen??)."

As soon as the pictures were shared on the internet, Sushmita Sen's fans expressed their concern over her swollen face. The netizens mentioned that the actress has Addison's disease and she has been taking steroids since 2014. While one user penned, "It seems she has gained weight plus her Addison’s disease is making her look different. She will bounce back", another one commented, "She looks kinda cute with fuller face."
Earlier, Sushmita Sen revealed being diagnosed with the auto-immune disease, Addison’s disease in 2014 and shared that she has been dependent on steroids ever since. The actress had written an article in The Week, where she had opened up about her life. Talking about her health, she wrote:
“Of all the lows that I have faced, my health has possibly been the one thing that did shake me up. I am suffering from Addison’s disease, an autoimmune disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones. I was diagnosed in 2014 and it has been pretty traumatising ever since.”

She also added how the health scare had shaken her up and made her think about how long she’ll be able to sustain herself. Sushmita further revealed that she has been dependent on steroids, which has left a negative impact on her body. She wrote:
“Having to be steroid dependent has a negative impact on you, but I thank God that at least I was in a position to get the best medical help and do what needs to be done. It made me question whether I would be able to sustain this long enough, how it would impact my kids and the responsibilities that I have. It made me question a lot of things and made me realise how health is wealth. It really is.”
