They say that the theme of your wedding reflects your personality. Well, if that is the case, then you're in for a surprise! Today, we're going to tell you the story of a very special wedding, which was a blast of colours and everything merry. It was a pleasant surprise because it came from a place where the bride spends more than 60 hours per week in the operation theatre!
Yes, meet the surgeon bride, Dr Vani Dutta, whose wedding was a total blast of every colour you could possibly imagine.
Dr Vani Dutta got hitched to the love of her life, Bhavaya Chawla and embarked on the beautiful journey of happily ever after. And the best part, the journey to the maiden voyage of their happily ever after was even more delightful. Vani and Bhavaya got engaged in the year 2020, only to wait for an entire year to get married, courtesy to the global pandemic, which required Vani's undivided attention and time throughout. The lovely couple's engagement ceremony was a gorgeous blend of red and black. The to-be bride dressed in a shimmery red, ruffled gown with a long train and the handsome, to-be-groom dazzled in a black, velvet bandhgala paired with formal black trousers.
Dr Vani's engagement ceremony was probably the last colourful thing she had seen in the year 2020, as she shared a video explaining how her 2020 went. Sharing her 2020 chronicles on January 1, 2021, Vani wrote,
"This year saw it all! The most joyous, memorable, painful, tiresome, exciting, thrilling moments all in one short year, 2020. Learning & moving forward with better goals, best health & only positive news! Reminiscing the challenging 20 and Welcoming the 21! #2021 #rewind2020 #newyear."
Vani and Bhavaya's mehendi ceremony was an unconventional whisk of shimmer and hues. The gorgeous bride-to-be looked heavenly in a shimmery, off-white Manish Malhotra floor-length gown with hues of maroon at the hem. The heavy silver work on the gown imparted her a royal look. Vani's pink and golden bangles, soft beach curls, a heavy passa, which she styled at the back of her head, statement maang teeka and earrings in gold completed her whole look.
Her choice of nude makeup to go with the look was the cherry on the cake. Bhavaya opted for a white sherwani with little geometric patterns embroidered over it and complemented her soon-to-be-husband perfectly.
Dr Vani glamourised her cocktail party look in velvet. She donned a green-coloured velvet choli with open bell sleeves and paired it with a golden embroidered velvet lehenga. The intricate flower pattern on the lehenga and sombreness of the choli made for a dreamy outfit. Vani completed her look with an emerald choker and matching earrings. Vani kept her look for haldi simple as she opted for a yellow cotton suit with braided hair and minimal makeup. Bhavaya twinned with his to-be-bride in a yellow dhoti kurta.
Dr Vani's outfit for her sangeet ceremony stood out the most. It was a pleasing mix of shiny graphic prints in golden on her red and magenta hued lehenga paired with a crop top, which was heavily embroidered with multicoloured stones. Vani's exquisite hairdo added girth to her look. She completed her look with shimmery eyes, nude shade lipstick and a highlighter. Her choice of jewellery for the function included big, statement earrings in gold and an equally big golden maang teeka.
Dr Vani's wedding outfit might be one of the most beautiful ones we have seen in recent times. Adhering to the conventional shades of red and gold, Vani carried her Manish Malhotra wedding lehenga with utter grace. The highlight of her radiant outfit was the long train of her veil, which was beautifully photographed. Vani's wedding lehenga had heavy, intricate golden embroidery at the hem.
The bride glowed in jadau neckpieces which complemented her lehenga beautifully. A heavy matha patti and a big ring nath gave her the look of a royal princess. Sharing the pictures, Vani wrote, 'Always imagined this day to be full of eternal happiness, coloured with red and the biggest wedding veil tracing my steps towards the mandap!"
Every wedding is different. Every bride is beautiful. That's the thing about beauty, it not only lies in the number of pixels or the camera angles or the filters, but apart from the eyes of the beholder, it also lies in the smile that creeps up on your lips when you see your partner in the wedding ensembles, ready to ride the roller coaster of marital life together!
