Former Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina's father, Trilokchand Raina, took his last breath on February 6, 2022, at his Ghaziabad's residence. He had been suffering from cancer for the past year. Raina was always close to his father, as he had done a lot to fulfil his dream of becoming a cricketer. The cricketer has been attending to his father for the past month.
Suresh Raina's father, Trilokchand, was a military officer, who belonged to Jammu and Kashmir's Rainawari and had moved to Uttar Pradesh in the 1990s. Rain's father, Trilokchand had worked in an ordinance factory, which was specialities in manufacturing bombs.

On February 6, 2022, former Indian cricketer, Harbhajan Singh took to his Twitter handle to share his condolence message for Raina's father. He tweeted:
"Very sad to hear Suresh Raina's father @ImRaina RIP uncle ji."
For those who don't know, Suresh Raina had made his debut in Indian cricket in an ODI match against Sri Lanka in Dambulla. He had made a massive name for himself with his all-rounder quality. He had won the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy, under Dhoni's captaincy.
