Dharmendra grabbed all the headlines recently when reports of his son, Sunny Deol flying down the veteran actor to the US surfaced in the media. There were several unconfirmed reports that cited that the latter took his father to seek special care and treatment overseas. Moreover, there were also speculations that Dharmendra wasn’t keeping well for some time now, due to usual geriatric issues. However, it seems Sunny Deol has now put all the speculations at rest and cleared the air about it all.
According to the latest report by The Times Of India, contrary to the buzz about Sunny Deol taking his father, Dharmendra to the US for treatment, the Gadar 2 actor has instead taken the latter for a vacation in US. The report further added that Sunny Deol is completely miffed at the baseless gossips about his father’s ill-health and that he was seeking medical treatment. Moreover, it also stated that the father-son duo’s US vacation was due for a long time now, and it got postponed longer since Sunny was busy with the promotions of Gadar 2. The report mentioned:
"He is miffed with these false reports claiming medical treatment. Every time he takes his father somewhere it doesn’t have to be for medical reasons!"

On September 11, 2023, a report by India Today claimed that the 87-year-old veteran actor, Dharmendra was not keeping well health-wise, as a result of which, his elder son, Sunny Deol flew him down to the US for proper medical attention. The report had highlighted that the father-son duo would stay there for a period of around 15-20 days, depending upon the duration of Dharmendra’s treatment.
Sunny Deol broke all records with his path-breaking comeback on the silver screen, with the film, Gadar 2. The actor received immense applause and accolades from his massive fanbase. During a press conference of the film after its success, Sunny had shared his father, Dharmendra’s priceless reaction to all the love that came pouring his way. Sunny mentioned:
“Papa ko kuch kehna nahi hota, who sirf ek jhappi dal denge aur hans denge.”

Dharmendra is extremely proud of all his children’s achievements so far, and he never shies away from expressing his happiness on the same. Proof of the same was found when the actor dropped a picture of himself on his social media handle, where he posed with the tokens of love he received on behalf of his son, Sunny Deol, for his smashing comeback film, Gadar 2. Penning a happy and beautiful note, Dharmendra wrote, “Friends, love you all for your loving response Gadar 2. His blessings and your good wishes made it a blockbuster.”
