Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur got divorced after an acrimonious legal battle in June 2016. They were married for almost 13 years but things went kaput eventually. Both of them have now moved on. And now, reports are rife that Sunjay Kapur and Priya Sachdev Kapur are expecting their first child. In April 2018, Sunjay and Priya celebrated their first marriage anniversary and now, they are soon going to embrace parenthood in December 2018. Reportedly, Priya is seven months pregnant. She was spotted at an event in Mumbai flaunting her baby bump and the pictures have surfaced online. Take a look:
This is Priya’s second child, as she is already a mother to her daughter from the first marriage with Vikram Chatwal. And as for, Sunjay and Karisma, they have one daughter and a son together- Sameira and Kiaan. It must also be noted here that Sunjay’s marriage with Priya is his third marriage, as he was earlier married to designer, Nandita Mahtani and then to Karisma.
Sunjay and Priya met on a flight for the first time and then they dated for 5 years before tying the holy matrimonial bond. Priya once shared to a media publication, “During the flight, we realised that neither of us was what our public perception had been made out to be. The barrier of those misconceptions came down and we kept in touch”. Speaking reverently of her hubby, Priya further added, “Sunjay is an amazing human being and a very good father to his children. He loves them dearly. Both of us have never tried to instill any negativity in our children towards our ex-spouses”. Recently, on April 13, 2018, Sunjay and Priya celebrated their first year of marriage and Priya wrote a heartfelt anniversary message for Sunjay, “Happy Anniversary my Darling Husband...Love you from the Sun and Back Infinite Times! You Complete Me in every way possible...Thank you for your unconditional love. This last one year has been beautiful and always a roller coaster with you...looking forward to a lifetime of more beautiful years of married life with you my Handsome Husband”. Now, coming to Karisma and Sunjay, the two got married in 2003 but troubles fell on their paradise in 2014 and the two filed for a divorce. Sunjay’s lawyer had then alleged that Karisma got married to his client only for money and was quoted as saying, “Karisma has used the children to demand money from my client. She is deliberately not allowing them to meet Sunjay. In the last hearing that happened on January 15, she wanted to bring them to court, but Sunjay was against it as it would have scarred their young minds and affected their psyche. She has been poisoning the children's minds against their father by telling them false stories. There have been instances when Samaira has said that she doesn't want to meet her father at all”.
Post her separation with Sunjay, Karisma started seeing businessman, Sandeep Toshniwal. The two could not have gotten married for Sandeep was already married to Ashrita Toshniwal. But reportedly, the two got divorced last year (2017), and since then, rumours have been rife that we would hear Karisma and Sandeep’s wedding bells soon.
Commenting on her daughter’s choice of marriage, Karisma’s father, Randhir Kapoor had earlier said, “If she wants to get married, then she has my blessings. She is young and must be seeing Sandeep, I don’t know. I also see their photographs. If she wants to begin her life again and her children are happy with it then I will support them. I don’t think there is anything wrong in that in today’s time”.
Even though things have been bitter between Karisma and Sunjay, their children often meet their father. Recently, they flew down to Delhi to meet Sunjay, and Priya shared the following pictures and wrote, “#Twosday The perfect twosday post!
