With the craziest concept of vichitra jodis v/s stag contestants, two contestants who have stirred up the social media storm are 65-year-old, Anup Jalota and 28-year-old, Jasleen Matharu. They have been living together in Mumbai from the past three years and came as a vichitra jodi on the show. Although the concept of vichitra jodis v/s stag contestants have been terminated on the show and everyone is now playing their individual games, Anup ji and Jasleen always make it to the headlines as a couple.
Recently, a ‘sansani khez khulasa’ happened on the show wherein it was revealed that before Anup ji, Jasleen was dating another famous singer. Jasleen was earlier in a relationship with Chaiyya Chaiyya fame singer, Sukhwinder Singh. Sukhwinder and Jasleen did a music video, Naachunga Saari Raat together. Though Jasleen confided to Anup ji on the show and said that it all happened a long time back and she has no feelings for him anymore.
However, Sukhwinder Singh has now denied any such romantic relationship with Jasleen and shared in an interview with Bombay Times, "We have been good friends for the last six years. Jasleen calls me Bablu. She accompanies me for my shows and her family is also close to me. In fact, her mom, dad and friends came over to my house a day before she left for Bigg Boss. She cut a cake and we had a great time. We often catch up for movies and outings along with her friends, but we have never dated each other. I’m surprised that this was claimed on the show. I’ll call up her father and check what this is all about."
For the uninitiated ones, in a task of guessing secrets of other housemates, when "Mera ek famous celebrity ke saath ek gehra rishta tha aur mere abhi ke partner bhi nahi jaante iss baare mein (I was in a serious relationship with a famous celebrity and my current partner doesn’t know about it)", was displayed, everyone guessed it to be Jasleen. But Anup ji reiterated saying that he is Jasleen’s current partner, and he knows all her past affairs. However, it turned out that this was Jasleen’s secret only, and when she later went to Anup ji for clarifications, he said that he already knew about it. Jasleen went to Anup ji and said, “Mujhe nahi pta tha ki aapko pata hai”, to which, Anup ji replied, “Nahi nahi jaanta hu main.” She retorted, “You knew it.” Deepak interrupted and said, “Sir ji aapke saath dhokha hua hai.” Anup ji reverted, "Nahi nahi dhokha nahi hua humko pata tha.” Slowly, when Jasleen probed him and asked how he knows about it, Anup ji revealed, “Music world hai na. Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Jasleen Matharu talked about her relationship with Anup Jalota, and said, “This is going to come as a huge shock to my parents and friends as no one is aware of my relationship with Anup Jalota ji. We have been dating each other for the last three and a half years. We usually don’t get time to spend with each other in the outside world due to our busy schedules, but now with the help of Bigg Boss, we will get to do so. Also, we will get to know if we can stay together forever.”
When asked if the huge age gap between them mattered to her, Jasleen retorted, “Age gap has never bothered us and now once we go inside the house we will get to know the real reaction of people about our relationship. Since until now, nobody knew anything. So, whether good, bad or ugly, we will get reactions from the house”.
