Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja are counting the days to welcome their little bundle of joy as the duo is expecting their first child. As Sonam’s delivery is due in August 2022, the soon-to-be mommy is back at her parent’s house in Mumbai. As Sonam is in the last leg of her pregnancy, her family is planning to organise a grand baby shower for her.
To mark her birthday on June 9, 2022, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had posted an array of pictures, looking like a diva. In the pictures, she was seen dressed in gorgeous attire from the shelves of the designers, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Flaunting her baby bump, Sonam looked simply breathtaking. Revealing how powerful she felt on the cusp of motherhood, Sonam had captioned the pictures as:
“On the cusp of motherhood and at the brink of my birthday, I'm choosing to dress how I feel - Pregnant and Powerful, Bold and Beautiful. Thanks @abujanisandeepkhosla for draping women in outfits that bring out the most fierce and the most sensual parts of their femininity.”

Now, as per a report by Pinkvilla, Sonam Kapoor’s family is busy preparing for her grand Bohemian-themed baby shower. As per the report, Sonam is busy doing maternity shoots and shopping with her sister, Rhea, and the family is planning to host a grand baby shower for her. The ceremony will also mark the presence of Bollywood celebrities, who will shower their blessings on the soon-t-be-mommy.
On June 18, 2022, Sonam Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle and shared a series of pictures from her baby shower in London. In the pictures, Sonam was seen wearing a pink halter neck pleated dress, flaunting her baby bump as she posed with her hubby, Anand Ahuja. The floral-themed baby shower had included flowers, name-customised napkins, cutesy plates and baby bibs. Along with the pictures, she had penned:
"It’s all starting to feel real! This baby is now well on its way and I’m so thankful to @eieshabp for throwing the best welcoming party ever, bringing together so many of my favourite people and showering me with love and blessings in the most generous and beautiful way."

In a conversation with Vogue India, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had stated that her pregnancy journey was not easy. The stunning actress shared that her first trimester was quite difficult, and she was not prepared for it. In her words:
"It's been tough—nobody tells you how hard it is. Everybody tells you how wonderful it is. The reason we're all here is to change and become better versions of ourselves. So that evolution is something I look forward to.”
