Smriti Khanna, who had married her co-star, Gautam Gupta in 2017, had embarked the journey of parenthood in April 2020 with the arrival of their little girl. The actress often shares snippets of her life with her fans on her Instagram handle and everyone eagerly waits for her updates. But often too much social media can become the reason behind your pain. And that's what happened with Smriti, who often becomes the target of these trollers.
Recently, in an interview with Zoom digital, Smriti opened up on the meanest hate comment she had received. The actress shared, "Somebody said 'tere bacche ko corona ho jaye' and all that. I am always like who are these people. I know they are frustrated people, they don’t even know you and why are they telling you that but then also, you can’t help but feel bad about it. Sometimes I give it back but then I regret that why to waste so much time on this." (Also Read: Disha Patani's 'Cute' Comment On Her Beau, Tiger's Sister, Krishna Shroff's Photo Is Winning Hearts)
She further added, "I think trolls people should anyway ignore. When I did not have a bump which was not big enough, that also people had a problem with. Once I put a photo of me having Maggie, that also I was trolled for and people said, 'You can’t have Maggie, you don’t care about your kid' and all that. Once I put nail polish and they said, ‘You can’t put nail polish in pregnancy, you can’t colour your hair.' There are solutions to everything. Even I do my research and I know what is good and what is not."
Smriti shared how she tries to not take these hate comments to her heart, "Sometimes it affects me, sometimes I laugh also because you get really funny comments. I know my weight is in a very healthy range and I gained a total of 14 kg in my pregnancy. So my doctor said it has to be between 12-14 kg, so 14 kg was anyway the highest limit. My doctors know much better than probably what these trolls are telling me. So that makes me laugh at times. But there are times the comments are really mean so you can’t help but feel bad about them."
Talking about Smriti and Gautam's baby girl's unique name, Anayka, the actress had revealed the story of the same in an interview with the Hindustan Times. She had said that it had taken them 20 days to decide her name. She had further revealed what 'Aanyka' means and had added that it denotes powerful and complete. She feels Aanyka is an apt name for her daughter. The actress had also said that she had wanted a baby girl and her wish has come true and this had made her Mother’s Day even more special.
