The year 2019, is the year of celebrations. It is indeed the season of weddings in the industry and the good news is pouring in from everywhere. From celebs confessing their relationship in public to sharing the news of their marriage, social media is full of happy news. On one hand, some celebs like their wedding to be a grand affair with lots of glitz and glam and on the other hand, there are celebs who like to keep their wedding a private affair. They like to celebrate with their close friends and family members. And belonging to the latter category is Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan fame, Snigdha Akolkar.
Snigdha Akolkar had started her career with Hindi TV serial, Hare Kkaanch Ki Choodiyaan and played the role of Shyamlee. The actress is popularly known for her characters like Kaushalya in Siya Ke Ram and Mata Anjani in Karmphal Data Shani and in the film, Love u..Mr. Kalakaar. She will soon be featuring in Netflix Originals’ Baahubali: Before the Beginning. She recently shared the news of her marriage. On August 25, 2019, Snigdha had tied the knot with the love of her life and businessman, Sreeram Ramanathan. Snigdha preferred a low-key wedding with close friends and family members being a part of the invitee list. She looked breathtaking in the Kanjeevaram and traditional South Indian jewellery. While talking to an online portal, Snigdha had confirmed the news and said, “The marriage took place on 25th August at Pune. It was a private affair, and only my close friends and relatives were present.” Snigdha and Sreeram got married as per Tamilian rituals. Her look reminded us of Deepika Padukone's South Indian bridal look from Chennai Express.
An actor's life is so busy that their schedule is always hectic and they have to plan their vacations and family time as per their work commitments. On being asked about her honeymoon plans, in an interview with TellyChakkar, Snigdha had stated, “Well, since we both are busy with work, we plan to go for two honeymoon vacations. At the moment, we will go on a short trip, and later for a prolonged holiday.”
Earlier, Snigdha had shared details about her ideal 'man' and elaborating on the same, she was quoted as saying, “My man has to be compassionate and caring, I don't like men who are judgmental and are an egotist. I will wait for the man of my dreams. Till then, as I said, I am engaged to myself."
In a throwback interview, Snigdha Akolkar had shared if she would consider dating a man from the industry and was quoted as saying, “There was a time when I vowed not to marry someone from the industry. My family would often question me about it, as they felt that marrying someone from the same profession will lead to a better understanding. Over the years, I have realised that most of the time, I am surrounded by people who are from the industry. So now, I too don't mind dating and marrying someone from my industry." Earlier, Snigdha had a different take on marriages and elaborating on the same, she was quoted as saying, “I am independent and I can take care of myself. I don't need a husband to give me things. A good companion is always welcome, though." The actress had gifted herself a ring and when asked about the same, she had stated, “I did that because I wanted to be engaged to myself. Just because I am single, I won't deprive myself of the care and love I deserve. I will eventually get married, but it is not a mandate in my life."
