Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleThe ongoing investigation into the alleged murder conspiracy plot of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has uncovered chilling new details after police recreated the crime scene at Lohagad Fort. On Sunday, June 28, 2026, the team of investigators took the prime accused, Ketan's fiancée, Sia Goyal, along with a dummy matching Ketan's weight and height, to recreate the scene. Officials now claim the 20-year-old had meticulously planned a 'signal' for her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, moments before Ketan was pushed into the gorge.
According to Pune Rural Police, the team reached the location on Sunday morning under heavy security to recreate the crime scene. They allegedly verified the positions and recreated how things unfolded that day, all the way to how the 26-year-old realtor was pushed into the 400-foot gorge. During the reconstruction, investigators said Siya demonstrated how she allegedly signalled Chetan to act.
Officials who were present there claim that the suspected couple had agreed that Siya would sit down, either pretending to drink water or tie her shoelaces, to indicate that Ketan was standing in the right position. That was allegedly Chetan's cue to approach from behind and push the unsuspecting Ketan off the cliff.

The investigators believe it was a carefully planned signal that not only communicated the cue but also left Siya as an unsuspected subject in the apparent "accident". An investigating officer told PTI:
"The signal was chosen deliberately so that Goyal would not be within the victim's reach during the fatal push. They feared that if Chetan pushed Ketan and the latter tried to grab Siya while falling, she too could fall into the gorge. The plan was made keeping her safety in mind."
After whatever Siya and Chetan have allegedly confessed, investigators believe it was not a spur-of-the-moment act but the result of meticulous planning over several weeks. Police said that the alleged couple had previously visited Lohagad Fort together to identify the exact location where they could allegedly carry out the murder. Officers also claim the duo conducted a rehearsal before returning with Ketan on June 18, 2026.

Regarding Chetan Chaudhary's movements on the day of the incident, police revealed that he didn't take the nearly 90-kilometre journey from Pune to Lohagad Fort by car. The 22-year-old deliberately rode a scooter to avoid toll plaza surveillance that could have recorded his vehicle. He even allegedly changed his appearance upon reaching the fort. Chetan reportedly climbed the hill wearing a hoodie, removed it during the incident to remain in a black T-shirt, and put the hoodie back on while leaving in an attempt to avoid attracting attention.
Siya Goyal's lawyer has questioned the evidentiary value of the investigation findings. Advocate Aashutosh Srivastava, who will be appearing as Siya Goyal's defence, told ANI that the alleged statements that his client made while in police custody, including the remarks that she confessed to pushing Ketan off the cliff, hold no weight as evidence under the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA). Srivastava argued that any confession made while an accused is in police custody or under pressure cannot be relied upon in a criminal trial.

Srivastava further questioned why investigators initially treated Ketan Agarwal's death as an 'accidental fall' and later registered it as a murder investigation. While the prime accused, Siya, and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, have allegedly confessed to plotting Ketan's death, the defence believes it could be the result of high-pressure custodial interrogation.
The investigation into Ketan Agarwal's alleged murder remains active, with investigators still analysing forensic evidence and digital records.
