Quite a while ago, Ambanis’ celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi and Siddharth was spotted with a girl for the first time after his engagement was called off. The duo twinned in matching outfits and posed for the paps. While everyone referred her as Siddharth’s mystery girl. Her identity was revealed later. The lady in reference was Neelam Upadhyaya, a popular South Indian actress. The star brother has again grabbed the limelight when he wished his alleged girlfriend on her birthday.
Siddharth took to his Instagram handle and wished his rumoured girlfriend, Neelam Upadhyaya, by posting a picture of the two. He captioned the picture as "Happy Birthday to you Neelam. May u always have the greatest and best time ever. A big hug #birthdaygirl #happiness #happybirthday."
It was in 2019 when the first pictures of Siddharth’s roka ceremony with Ishita Kumar had surfaced the internet. Priyanka Chopra, expressing her happiness had congratulated her brother and had posted a heartfelt message for Siddharth and Ishita and had written, “So proud of my baby brother. Ishita welcome to the family... you are so beautiful together... I wish you both the best for the future! In an interview with the Bombay Times, Siddharth Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra cited the reason for his cancelled wedding. Talking about the same, she had said, "We are disappointed but what can you do when a person is unwell? We wish Ishita a speedy recovery." Later, in an interview with SpotboyE, she had shared the real reason behind it. She had further revealed, “My son Siddharth said he was not ready for marriage yet. He explained he needed more time." Another source close to the family had revealed in the same portal, “This arranged marriage was being pushed a bit in haste.”
Prior to Ishita, Siddharth’s wedding was called off earlier as well. Siddharth was in a serious relationship with his long-time girlfriend Kanika Mathur and the duo had gotten engaged in October 2014 and was suppose to get married in 2015 in Goa. Siddharth, himself was looking over all the preparations. He also posted about the same on his Facebook page, "Wedding plans. Early Morning flight to Goa." But after a few weeks, another post appeared on his page which made everyone confused. He had posted, "Single. Ready to mingle. Go Goa Gone. Wish everyone a very happy 2015."
Nobody knows the real reason behind the couple’s engagement being called off. Neither the families had commented on the same. A source close to the family had revealed, “Siddharth wants to concentrate on his career and his new venture (a pub-lounge in Pune). Pushing it ahead was a big decision for both the families.
