Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta has led quite a different life away from the glitz and glam of the entertainment industry. With nearly more than half of her family members being bonafide actors in Bollywood, Shweta has never ventured into acting and in fact, has made an altogether alienating profession for herself. However, it seems now that her daughter, Navya Naveli Nanda, who already has garnered a huge fan base is set to become the new talent of the Bachchan household. But, on the contrary, she has no chance of entering into acting, and it is her mommy, who has a perfectly understanding reason for the same.
Shweta Bachchan had once graced the controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan along with her brother, Abhishek Bachchan. Well, amidst all the fun chit-chats the sibling duo had with the host, Karan Johar, Shweta also touched down upon a poignant topic of whether or not, she would allow her daughter to enter Bollywood as an actress. Revealing the amount of hatred she sees her brother, Abhishek receiving for his poor film career, she labelled it as one of her selfish reasons therefore, to not allow her daughter to go through the same thing. In her words:
“I’m on Instagram and I follow my brother and know the hate he gets. Whether you like him as an actor or not, it will bother to me as a sister. I hated it, it gave me sleepless nights and I don’t want yet another member of my family to be in this business for selfish reasons. Firstly, I don’t know what Navya’s talent is. Just because she is related to some famous people, doesn’t mean she has what she takes.”

Going on with the same conversation, Shweta Bachchan opened up on how she had to bear the heart-breaking moments she had to witness amidst her actor family members, especially her brother and sister-in-law, Abhishek-Aishwarya, when their films even with immense hard work failed to do well at the box-office. In her words:
“I think I was excessive, I was unfair, I thought selfishly... One of the bonuses of coming from a family that's in the movies, I know the heartbreak. Coming from a family that was involved in movies, the second generation was involved in the movies be it my brother or my sister-in-law, I see their faces when things don't work out.”
Well, it has not just been Shweta, but Navya herself, who wishes to stay as far as possible from the world of acting. The 26-year-old star-kid is a young entrepreneur and social media influencer, and despite belonging from an eminent film family, does not wish to join acting. Speaking about it a few years ago, Navya, in an interview with Vogue India, mentioned:
“No way I'll make a career in acting. I am enjoying my internship at the advertising agency. I love the independence I get in Manhattan."

Apart from her stunning looks, Navya Nanda is also known for her intelligent thinking and modern mentality. For instance, during her podcast series, What The Hell Navya, her naani, Jaya Bachchan had remarked that she would be alright to accept the fact that if Navya would have a child out of wedlock in future. While such a remark was not liked by a majority of the section of people, it seems Navya herself had a matured take on it, and therefore, she reacted to it accordingly. She mentioned:
“I think that when you are putting yourself out there, you have to understand that something that you are sharing with the world, your opinions, people may agree, people may disagree, but I think that the purity and motivation behind this podcast have really nice fun intelligent conversations.”
