Kangana had stirred B-Town when she spilt the beans on her equation with her 'the so-called' ex, Hrithik Roshan. From blaming him to not accepting their relationship in public, despite being together, to sharing the list of explicit emails he sent her during that period, a furious Kangana had blazed all the guns on him for once. Accusing Hrithik of being indecisive and opportunistic, she had said, "He told me that he would never accept me publicly and the way things were in his family, he would never leave his wife. So, I told him to leave me but he didn’t want to do that either. This was the reason I didn’t want to do Krrish 3 because when you are not ready to marry me, then I don’t want anything with you. But he persuaded me for four months to sign Krrish 3. He never thought Sussanne would leave him. So, when she left him, I think he got disturbed. We used to talk then and one day, he told me, ‘I think I can see us together in the future. My divorce will finalise in October-November and after that, I will somehow make our relationship public."
Amidst her ugly fight with her ex, Hrithik Roshan, she had faced bashing from all over the industry, being an outsider. She had revealed later in an interview that it was Vishal Bhardwaj, who suggested her to seek help from the Women Commission, when Hrithik had sent her a notice, threatening to make her personal pictures and videos viral. Speaking about her experience with the Women Commission, she had said, "First they took my case up but after a few days they called me, saying, ‘We have good relations with Rakesh Ji, you should not speak much. You should go easy.’ I was shocked and since then I hate Women’s Commission. Imagine if they can be unfair to a Bollywood star like me, what would other common women go through if they go to them! Women’s Commission is fake and has been bought."
Kangana calls herself a passionate lover. After Adhyayan Suman, her then-boyfriend accused her of taking control over him, by performing black magic, after their ugly breakup, Kangna had said, "It's an amazing experience you feel in every cell of your body, as if it's is awakened, even if the person is not around. My boyfriends have asked me 'how do you know everything about my life. It's black magic. It's telepathic.' It's how I love. And if my love is psycho, then it's fine. I'll find someone else. I am fine being called a witch."

Actor/producer Aditya Pancholi, who is married to Zarina Wahab, had allegedly dated Kangana Ranaut for a short period of time when she was just starting out in Bollywood. talking about her experience of dating a married man, who was much older than her, she had said, "When this man who used to be my father's age, he hit me so hard that my head was...I fell on my head on the floor and it started to bleed. I must have been 17 or something. I picked up my sandal and I hit his head hard and it started to bleed as well." Aditya and Zarina even went on to file defamation cases against Kangana.
Famous (or rather, infamous) for her witty remarks, Kangana was seen in a jolly mood over her alleged controversy involving her ex Hrithik Roshan, when she was asked, "What would you do if you woke up as Hrithik one day?" To which she had replied, "I will call Kangna and say sorry to her for what I did!" Having started this whole fiasco by allegedly calling the handsome hunk of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan her silly ex, Kangna spares no chance of bashing him, time and again.
Kangna had even filed a complaint against her ex, Aditya Pancholi for assault. Although Mumbai Police had registered the case, they were found saying it is going to be difficult to investigate, since the case is several years old. She had even gone on to say that Pancholi had assaulted her numerous times in the past, when she was 17 years old. After the ugly brawl, between Kangana and her ex, Aditya Pancholi, and a lot of accusations hurling on one another, Kangana's sister, Rangoli had even taken to Twitter to accuse Aditya Pancholi of extorting Rs 1 crore from Kangna Ranaut. According to Rangoli, Aditya Pancholi had billed Kangana Ranaut Rs 1 crore for grocery expenses when she was homeless for three months, and that he had asked for more money later.

When Queen director/producer Vikas Bahl was called out for harassment amidst the #MeeToo movement, Kangana cashed the opportunity to once again bash her ex, Hrithik Roshan when she was asked about her views on the matter. According to Kangana, there are many people like Vikas Bahl in the industry it is now needed to work a lot on this issue to completely eradicate the garbage from Bollywood and make this place safe for women. She had also said that there are men, who make false promises to girls to get them into a relationship. She had been in favour of boycotting such sort of people. She had attacked Hrithik further by saying that such men keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as mistress too, later on, prove them as mad.
In Kangana's words, "I've had so many affairs. And after every breakup, I feel like this is the end of my life. This has happened whether I'm 16 or 31."
