Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar’s wedding festivities started off in full filmy style. It began with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge style pre-wedding photoshoot, fun-filled haldi and kalire ceremony and then a colourful mehendi ceremony. And just like all these functions, their sangeet was also filmy and full of fun.
Soon-to-be married couple, Dipika and Shoaib are all set to tie the knot today (on February 22, 2018). Last night (on February 21), the couple had a dhamakedar sangeet ceremony and everyone danced their heart out. While the bride-to-be looked graceful in a yellow sharara which she paired up with a big maang teeka and kalire, the groom looked dashing in a shimmery red kurta with black pyjama. The love was in the air with the colourful lights and dupatta décor, and the excited much-in-love couple danced to express their love for each other. Not only the bride and groom but also their friends and family seemed to have a gala time at their sangeet. Dipika and Shoaib will take their wedding vows as per the Muslim traditions in Shoaib’s hometown, Bhopal. After their intimate marriage, they will host a wedding reception ceremony at Sea Princess Hotel, Mumbai on February 26 for their friends from the TV fraternity. The couple worked together for a show, Sasural Simar Ka and later they also participated in the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 8.
It was the show, Sasural Simar Ka only where they both got introduced to each other, and in Nach Baliye 8, Shoaib officially proposed his lady-love for marriage. It is Dipika’s second marriage and Shoaib and Dipika both belong to different religions, but as they say, when one is in love, nothing else matters. The couple dated for a long time and ever since Shoaib has proposed Dipika, their fans have been eagerly waiting for their favourite couple to get married. Shoaib and Dipika danced on many Bollywood chartbusters. One is the cute romantic track, Sunn Mere Humsafar from Badrinath Ki Dulhania and the other one is the nok-jhok wala song, Chal Pyaar Karegi from Salman Khan starrer Jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai. According to a source, Dipika and Shoaib wanted their wedding to be a close-knit affair, and the reason why they chose it to be a destination wedding was to avoid the media glare. All the pictures and videos that are posted by the couple or their friends and family are under the hashtag, #dodilmilrahehai.
Shoaib has accepted that he is very romantic but fails when it comes to being expressive and vocal about love. And on the other hand, his lady-love is extremely expressive and equally romantic. She pampers him like a kid, and he loves it. Dipika has a great bonding with Shoaib’s family. Shoaib’s sister Saba Ibrahim too shared some pictures on her official Instagram page.
