There is no greater happiness than to live your entire life with your best friend. A key to turning your marriage into a happy one is simple - never let go of the hand of your better half. And newly-married couple, Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani are definitely living by this rule. Before we take you further into the story, let us take a recap of the childhood sweethearts' love story. Akash and Shloka knew each other since kindergarten and later studied in the same school. It was after their schooling, they finally started dating each other. And in 2018, Akash officially popped the question to Shloka in Goa, which was followed by a grand wedding in March 2019.
Ever since their wedding, we are eagerly waiting for a glimpse of the newly married couple. And on June 29, 2019, we spotted them together at cricketer, Yuvraj Singh's retirement bash. Akash and Shloka looked perfectly in love as they arrived hand-in-hand at the venue and posed for the paps. Their pictures instantly went viral on the internet, and everyone loved Shloka's pretty blue and white ensemble. For the night, Shloka decided to opt for an off-shoulder white top with a metallic blue pleated skirt. Take a look at the picture below:
For those who don't know, Shloka is the daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta. However, all those shiny diamonds never interested her. In an interview, the diva had talked about the business, and had stated, "I’ve never had an interest in business. I think the diamond industry is not very friendly to women. It’s changing but most women typically become jewellery designers or they work in human resources...those kinds of roles. I don’t think that I have the creative aesthetic sense to be a designer." She had further talked about working for social welfare, and had shared, "From my experience, I had recognised that funding is a huge limitation and often your role in an NGO can be chasing grants. I wanted to be on the other side, giving grants, understand what things a grantmaker looks at, and how they decide which NGO to give."
Akash and Shloka's wedding was celebrated as a grand festival, and it was the mother of the groom, who couldn't control her happy tears. Nita ji bestowed a lovely gift for the newly married in the form of a poem that could be read as, "They went to Kindergarten to learn ABC, Not knowing — que sera sera — What their future would be…Gummy bears and jujubes, Sparkle pops and jelly beans… Sweetened their lives, From childhood through teens! Till glasses of milk made way for cups of tea… And the Sky fell in love with sweet Chants of glee!
