Just last night it was when Shilpa was pronounced as the winner of this season of the most controversial show, Bigg Boss. While many people wanted her to win, some were calculating and so here she is with the trophy in her hand. After the announcement, wishes for Shilpa on winning started pouring in. And then, after the results and winning of Shilpa, Romit expressed his happiness. In fact, he went on to say that Shilpa is the most deserving one and thus, she won it. Also, when Pinkvilla got in touch with the actor to know more, Romit showed his happiness. In fact, he also wished the best for Shilpa. He was quoted as saying, “I am very happy for Shilpa. It’s an amazing news. God bless her with all the happiness, she has been through a lot of hard times. I am very happy. For the ones who don’t know, Shilpa and famous TV actor Romit Raj got engaged to be married in the year 2009. But to everyone’s surprise, their marriage was called off. The reason for their relationship ending up at such a crucial is best known to them. Though Shilpa retorted in an interview with SpotboyE, “I don’t want to dig up the past. Though the actress hardly spoke about her relationship and broken engagement on the show, she did speak a little bit with Puneesh. Also, in an interview with the Tellychakkar, back in 2009, Shilpa opened up about her marriage and relationship with Romit. She said: “I had left everything because of my marriage. As a girl, I know what my responsibility towards my husband and his family is and I used to do everything according to his will. I kept all his family members in mind but he still expected more from me. Not just her, but Shilpa’s mother too opened about the matter in a recent media interaction of hers. Shilpa’s mom was quoted as saying, “Romit had proposed her. And my daughter had accepted his proposal because he was a good person. Both of them decided to get married. But after some time they realized that their opinions are very different. In fact, both of their families are also very different.” She also added, “And it is very obvious that for a long-term relationship, you can’t compromise on such things. That is why my daughter decided to call off the marriage. She thought that it would be better to end the relationship now than going for a divorce later.”
