It has been over a decade that Shilpa and Raj have been tied in the wedlock and nothing could lessen their love for each other and their families. On June 28, 2019, Raj Kundra took to his official Instagram handle and shared a few clicks from their Painshill Park walk, which is is one of the finest remaining examples of an 18th-century English landscape park in Surrey, England. Recently, on Sony TV’s reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 3, when Shilpa's co-judge Geeta Kapur had asked her the secret behind her successful marriage with Raj, Shilpa had replied, “It's important to have the relationship of friendship in any relationship. I think Raj and I never feel that we are tied to this relationship of marriage. Even now we go on dates on Friday nights, we call each other girlfriend and boyfriend. Further, sharing the details about her equation with Raj Kundra, Shilpa was quoted as saying, “Trust is also a bedrock of any relationship. It's our 10th year now. It's important to grow in any relationship, be it between friends, siblings or partners, otherwise, you outgrow the relationship. It's very important for me that I learn from every relationship that I have with people and I have learnt a lot of things from Raj and even you have to keep upgrading yourself.”
In a throwback interview with The Times of India, Shilpa was all-praises for her husband, Raj and had quipped, “I met Raj at a time in my life where I was riding this wave with the Big Brother success. He lived in London with his parents who had told him about me, ‘Yeh Shilpa Shetty aayee hai aur usne Indians ka naam ooncha kiya hai.’ He came to my hotel and the first thing was that he came and touched my mother’s feet even though he was a Londoner. She had further gone on to add that not only a good husband and he is also a very good father. Raj had remarked, “He is also an excellent son and I had thought, great husband, but he surpassed that with Viaan. I may do everything for Viaan, right from cleaning his potty to singing nursery rhymes, but the moment Raj will walk in, his focus shifts to him. Raj is a hands-on father and is happy to take him to the mandir alone or take a day off to be with him, if I am working.”
She had signed off by saying, “What I love most about Raj is that he is self-made and very hard-working and humble despite all that he has achieved at just 38. He is real and what you see is what you get, and he has a great sense of humour. Because he is self-made, he says, ‘even if I lose everything, I will make it back’ and doesn’t get attached to anything. I am happy I married a man I respected.
