Shilpa Shetty took the wedding vows with her long-time businessman-boyfriend, Raj Kundra on November 22, 2009. Theirs was a grand wedding celebration and in a literal sense, a ‘big fat Indian wedding.’ Together, the cutesy couple is proud parents to a 6-year-old boy, Viaan Raj Kundra. It's been over a decade to their marriage and seems like their love for each other is still as fresh as a newly-wedded duo! Initially, Shilpa and Raj didn’t accept their relationship on-record, but eventually, she had admitted and said, "I am dating somebody. I hope he will be the one, but I don't want to say too much because it is still very early on in our relationship." Adding further, she was quoted as saying, “He respects and understands what I do, and it is nice to be cared for. I have been very lonely for a very long time, and it is nice to know I have somebody to look forward to seeing at the end of the day.”
There is no denying the fact that Shilpa is one fitness freak and her Insta feed is filled with fitness related stuff. Recently, Shilpa took to her official Instagram handle and shared a video made by her hubby, Raj, revealing that she is proud of his fitness journey. Shilpa had captioned it as, “I have a stalker /fitness ambassador (for the #SSapp) in the gym for the company nowadays. You are killing it Cookie, so proud of your dedication @rajkundra9. A few days back, Raj had posted a lovely picture with wifey Shilpa, both posing perfectly for the camera. He had captioned the snap as, “My Queen! My Angel! My Life! My Best Friend! My Girlfriend! #Love #Happiness #togetherforever @theshilpashetty.”
On Valentine’s 2019, Raj had shared a lovely message wishing his ladylove on the occasion. He had shared the below video and captioned it as, “A great relationship is based on two small and simple things First “To find out the similarities and second "To respect the differences". I sometimes still pinch myself to see if I am dreaming. I must have done something right in my life that God gave me someone so perfect. In a throwback interview with The Times of India, Shilpa talked about her equation with Raj and how he is a doting daddy to their son, Viaan Raj Kundra. She had said, “I met Raj at a time in my life where I was riding this wave with the Big Brother success. He lived in London with his parents who had told him about me, ‘Yeh Shilpa Shetty aayee hai aur usne Indians ka naam ooncha kiya hai.’ He came to my hotel and the first thing was that he came and touched my mother’s feet even though he was a Londoner. She further went on to say, “He is also an excellent son and I had thought, great husband, but he surpassed that with Viaan. I may do everything for Viaan, right from cleaning his potty to singing nursery rhymes, but the moment Raj will walk in, his focus shifts to him. Raj is a hands-on father and is happy to take him to the mandir alone or take a day off to be with him, if I am working.”
And had added, “What I love most about Raj is that he is self-made and very hard-working and humble despite all that he has achieved at just 38. He is real and what you see is what you get and he has a great sense of humour. Because he is self-made, he says ‘even if I lose everything, I will make it back’ and doesn’t get attached to anything. I am happy I married a man I respected.
