Right from Rangeela in the year 1995, Mohabbatein in 2000, Waqt: The Race Against Time in 2005, Karthik Calling Karthik in 2010 to Dil Dhadakne Do in 2015 and Once Again in 2018, Shefali Shah has proved to be one of the most talented and mature actresses in the B-town. Well, many of us know a lot about her professional life, but do you know that she is a happily married woman? Yes, you read that right! At a time when she was at the top of her game, she decided to get married to director, Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Together, the couple has two sons, Aryaman Shah and Maurya Shah. It must also be noted here that Shefali Shah was earlier married to the famous Indian television actor, Harsh Chhaya, and they got legally divorced in the year 2001, after being married for almost four years.

Recently, in an interaction with The Times of India, she was asked which role of hers has been the toughest. To which, she replied, “Being a mother! It’s the toughest role for a woman. There are no holidays, no perks and no increments but its still the most rewarding and by far, the most difficult role that I chose to slip into. Every single day has been a revelation and every single day has had its own challenges. My children are pursuing football in Europe.” (Checkout: Sharad Malhotra Says The Fact That He Is Getting Married In Just 3 Days Hasn't Sunk In Yet)

She had further added, “When they’re back home in Mumbai for a couple of weeks once or twice in a year, my house suddenly feels different — it feels lively. When they’re gone, days sometimes are very hard to pass. It’s not been an easy decision for Vipul and I to send both our boys abroad but I think it’s the best thing for them because they want to pursue the sport and get as close to it professionally as they can. So, we as parents decided to support what they wanted to chase. We just wanted them to be disciplined about it and be honest with their effort. They haven’t let us down at all.”

Talking about moving on after a bad relationship, Shefali’s ex-husband Harsh had once stated, “I don’t know if men take longer to come out of a relationship. It may be true but I’m the kind who likes to get on with life quickly. I went through a bad phase in a very clinical way without even trying to pretend that everything was fine. After feeling bad and gathering enough sympathy for myself, I finally got out of it in six months. I still look back at it very pragmatically. Two people met, fell in love, got married and parted ways. One couldn’t do anything about it. I felt it was better to separate than live a life where you don’t know where your marriage is going.” (Do Check: Ajay Devgn Was Once Linked To His 'Yeh Raaste Hai Pyar Ke' Co-Star, Preity Zinta Post Marrying Kajol)

Revealing if his separation with Shefali had bothered him, he was quoted as saying, “The separation didn’t take me by surprise. I had seen it coming for almost eight months. In fact, I’d talked about it with a close friend of mine. So, the two of us were sitting back and waiting for it to happen. Divorces don’t have to be bitter but mine was. I don’t even want to pretend that we’re friends today. Both of us are definitely not interested in that. I avoid running into her and if we ever come face to face in public, I’d simply look through her. Our marriage is like a chapter in our lives that’s closed forever.”
