Shahid Kapoor is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. Be it playing a dejected son, ‘Haider Meer’ in Haider or a drug addict, ‘Tomy Singh’ in Udta Punjab, Shahid has done complete justice to each and every character that he plays on screen. The handsome actor was last seen in the film, Jersey and in a recent interview, Shahid revealed that he drew parallels with his daughter, Misha for the film.
Talking about Shahid Kapoor’s personal life, the actor had broken millions of hearts when he got hitched to Delhi-based, Mira Rajput in 2015. In 2016, Shahid and Mira embraced parenthood for the first time with the arrival of their baby girl, Misha Kapoor. Two years later, the doting couple had completed their family when they welcomed a baby boy into their lives, whom they named Zain Kapoor.

In an interview with ETimes, Shahid Kapoor talked about the parallel he had drawn with his daughter, Misha while understanding the father-child relationship for Jersey. Talking about the protective feeling and living one’s life through their child, Shahid said:
"It was more with my daughter Misha at that point in time, Zain was way younger. So, the parallel I had here was with my daughter. That protective feeling, living your life through them, seeing them grow and being there for them…. whatever happens in your life, you don’t want to let that affect them because you want their mind and heart to remain pure.”
In the same interview, Shahid mentioned that when he saw the original film, he felt inspired and could connect to the emotions instantly. In his words:
“You feel ki main apne bacche ki nazron mein khud ko ek katra bhi kam nahi hone de sakta.”

On August 26, 2022, Misha turned 6 and her doting mommy, Mira Rajput penned a heartfelt birthday wish for her angel. Sharing a picture of Misha from one of their vacations, Mira had written:
“My baby girl, you are the sunshine of our lives! Happy 6 my darling, shine bright! You’re a little gem with a heart so pure, I’m lucky to be your Mama. I love you!”
Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey was the remake of a Telugu film by the same name!
