Celeb controversies have been a part of the entertainment world since ages, and over the years, we have seen many celeb couples throwing dirt on each other for some reason. Television actors, Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal are also one such couple, whose feud dates back to May 2021, and has been going on since then. It had all started when Nisha had filed a complaint against her estranged hubby, Karan, revealing that she faced domestic abuse and accusing him of having an extra-marital affair.
Later, Karan Mehra held a press conference and had quashed all the allegations levied against him. The actor had revealed that his estranged wife, Nisha, was allegedly dating her Rakhi brother, Rohit Sethia, and added that he had not seen his son, Kavish for the last 14 months. Now, Nisha held a press conference in Bandra and opened up further about her side of the story.
On September 12, 2022, Nisha Rawal held a press conference and refuted all the allegations raised against her by her estranged hubby, Karan Mehra. The actress mentioned that she is not answerable to anybody and asked Karan to stop gaining sympathy. Talking about how their case has been impacting their son, Kavish, she said:
"Please stop this. This is becoming a drama and it is becoming a media trial. Let's do this in a civilized way. I feel vulnerable. Stop doing this. I feel scared for myself and my child. What if tomorrow, he (their child) watches the videos, or what if I step out of the home and someone says something in front of my son? Lastly, I am not playing a sympathy card, Karan is in fact playing the sympathy card. I want to raise a child in a healthy environment and if Karan Mehra can't contribute then please back off. Let me live my life."
Nisha also took a dig at the witnesses in her and Karan's case and asked them to mind their own business. She also mentioned how these people have been portraying her case dramatically and talking about it casually with their friends. Reflecting on the same, Nisha said that she is doing everything for her child, Kavish, and added:
"I don't want to pay heed to these people. I think they should mind their own business. These people are portraying it dramatically. Aap dosti nibha rahe ho? You are going out and talking about it casually when your friend is a part of the controversy. Whatever I am doing, I am doing for my child. If Karan wants to do something, there is a proper legal procedure."
Further in the press conference, Nisha claimed that she doesn't want to sensationalize the matter, and instead, follow proper legal procedure to get justice. She also added that she is a woman of peace, who wishes to live her life peacefully. She concluded:
"I am a woman of peace, I want him to live his life in peace and leave me alone."
