The world of Glam and glitz requires you to dedicate your whole life to the industry. Stardom comes with the pros and cons, which will even ask you to sacrifice your personal life and dedicate your whole time to work. Sometimes, celebs have to compromise on their ‘me’ time and sometimes, they get hurt during the shooting. Recently, the same thing happened with Shahid Kapoor, when he got injured during the shoot of his upcoming movie, Jersey. The movie is the official remake of the South film with the same title and is expected to release on August 28, 2020. Shahid Kapoor was busy shooting for the movie in Chandigarh and reportedly has injured himself during the shoot. A source had revealed to Pinkvilla, “Shahid was playing perfectly fine and rehearsing before the shot when the ball unexpectedly came and hit him on the lower lip and cut open a wide gash where blood started gushing out!! He was immediately taken for treatment and a doctor was rushed to see him. To close the wound stitches were sutured by the doctor. All this has left the actor with a heavily bruised lower lip, and hence he will not be able to shoot for the film till the swelling subsides and the wound is healed to enable him to emote freely. As a thorough professional Shahid is doing everything in his power to speed up recovery so he can resume the shoot in 4 - 5 days."
After hearing about Shahid Kapoor’s injury, Mira Rajput has rushed to Chandigarh to be with him. A source revealed to Pinkvilla, “He is fine now. But the injury was a deep cut, so he had to get 13 stitches. Mira (Rajput) has rushed to Chandigarh now on hearing the news. There's nothing to worry anymore." A source had revealed to PTI that Shahid will take a break for the next few days as he has a heavily bruised lower lip. He will resume filming after the swelling subsides and the wound is healed.
For the Vogue Wedding Book 2019, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor had let their fans into their world and had taken us on their journey of how they first met, marriage and kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. Shahid Kapoor had talked about the initial days of his relationship with Mira Rajput and had said, “We’ve gone to parties where I’ve known many more people than she has. But I’ve always found her having more intense conversations with people she’s met less than half an hour ago!” Their roles are perfectly cut out as Mira is the disciplinarian and Shahid is the softy when it comes to their kids. Shahid had explained, “Our kids are the first two projects we actually did together. One year into an arranged marriage, when you haven’t spent enough time together [earlier], you really evolve around each other.”
In October 2019, Shahid was invited at Neha Dhupia's show, No Filter Neha, wherein he had shared one thing that his wife, Mira hates the most. The actor had opened up on how they are two different personalities and fight often on anything and everything. And how they give the best advice, but he plays the experience card which she hates the most. He had also shared that he feels immensely happy for sharing his life with someone like Mira.
The actor was quoted as saying, "We can fight about everything and anything. We have a very strong and different point of views. For the kind of person I am, I am very happy that I have somebody like that. Although on a daily basis it might be difficult to deal with but when I look at the bigger picture, I know she is really good for me. And I am guessing I am also good for her. We always tend to tell each other the part that we are not seeing ourselves. Mira is always able to give me another perspective and when I look back after coming out of a situation, I feel very glad that she said what she said to me.
