Dreams do come true and sometime when you know that those dreams are unattainable, life gives you a surprise and you get what you have wished for. Exactly this happened with a normal college girl from Delhi, who would not have thought in her wildest dreams that she would end up marrying an actor. Well, we are talking about Mira Rajput who added ‘Kapoor’ after tying the knot with the handsome-st actor of the Tinseltown, Shahid Kapoor.
No one had ever thought that a chocolate boy like that Shahid would end up marrying in an arranged marriage setup and that too with a non-industry and much-younger college girl, Mira. Well, that’s how destinies play their role! It was on July 7, 2015, that Shahid and Mira entered the matrimony. Today, they are a complete happy family of four, having a daughter, Misha Kapoor and a son, Zain Kapoor in their lives. When Shahid and Mira had gotten married, rumours were rife that she will soon enter the showbiz world and would opt for acting. Soon she made her acting debut with an advertisement and now, the latest news is that she has shot for her first project with hubby, Shahid. Recently, Mira and Shahid were snapped at the sets of an ad and the pictures and videos have gone viral on social media. In the pictures, the lovebirds can be seen in their traditional best. While Shahid could be seen sporting a white embroidered kurta, Mira, on the other hand, looked lovely in a pink floral lehenga. In an interaction with the Hindustan Times recently, Shahid had revealed that it was Mira who convinced him to opt for Kabir Singh. He had said, "She was always very optimistic and believed that this is a character I should have in my filmography. We had watched Arjun Reddy together and she loved the director's [Sandeep Reddy Vanga] work and felt that the character had potential. And if we were able to get it right, it'd be a very special character in my life. So, Mira was very happy when she watched the film." Shahid had also expressed his happiness on the success of the film and the love it is getting from the audience. The 38-year-old actor had stated, "Right now, I am overwhelmed and thankful. And there's no better feeling than getting love for a film, and a character, which is extremely flawed and probably one of the most dangerous characters to play for an actor since he is nothing like me. He isn't necessarily a character who you would love. But the success and the fact that the film has touched a chord with the audience, goes on to show the moviegoers.”
Post the screening of the movie, Mira had taken to her official Instagram handle and shared her happiness over the commendable film. Sharing a glimpse of Shahid in his Kabir Singh form from the film, Mira had captioned her post as, “Aa zamane aazmaale rooth ta nahi, Faaslon se hausla ye toot'ta nahi. So proud of you baby. It’s your time to shine.” Not just this, she had also shared a picture of Shahid with co-star, Kiara Advani and director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, captioning the post as, “#KabirSingh Words fall short. In an interaction a few years back Mira had expressed her wish to be a proud stay-at-home mother and was quoted as saying, “I am a homemaker and I am proud of the label. I love being home. I had a difficult pregnancy and now I want to spend every moment I can with my daughter.” Mira had further gone on to say, “I love being at home, I love being a mother to my child, I wouldn’t want to spend one hour a day with my child and rush off to work, why did I have her? She is not a puppy; I want to be there for her as a mother.”
Talking about Zain and Misha, Shahid had once retorted, “Zain is a very disciplined baby, sleeps on time, gets up on time. Mira is a very sorted mom. So, no trouble this time." He had further said, "The first time we had Misha we were very paranoid parents, so a lot of sleepless nights happened. So, I think we were a lot more settled this time. Honestly, this time I had no trouble.
