Shah Rukh Khan is currently basking in the glory of his latest released film, Jawan. The film has already earned Rs. 200 crores within its third-day collection at the box office. And if reports are to be believed, the film would soon enter the Rs. 500 crore mark globally. However, there was a time when Shah Rukh Khan could not enjoy stardom the way he is doing today. A veteran journalist recently claimed that the entire Bollywood disliked him, and he was also abused at every party.
Recently, taking to his/her Reddit handle, a social media user posted a video featuring a veteran journalist who made some shocking claims about Shah Rukh Khan. The journalist claimed that SRK used to get cornered by various big names in the industry. In addition, he used to get abused by people in his absence. However, the journalist didn't name anyone who used to do this with SRK but mentioned how everyone in the industry hated the Jawan star. The journalist revealed:
"80-90s me kaise Shah Rukh Khan ko, matlab, almost everybody in Bollywood used to hate. Matlab koi Bollywood party nhi thi ke Shah Rukh ko gaali diye bina khatam hote the. Agar SRK ko pull down nahi kiya uske absence me, me naam nahi lunga, bohat bade top actors the, 2-4 actor the us waqt, jinke jhade bade mazboot thi, filmy families se they."

The journalist further added:
"Unlog ko ek jalan thi ke, ek ladka aya, aur woh Bandra me Makaan, Mannat kharid ke bait gaya hai. Aur uske har saal 3 blockbusters aati hai, aur suddenly saare power centre shift hogaya tha. Toh Shah Rukh ne woh sab jhela".
As soon as the video was shared on the Reddit, netizens started reacting to it strongly. One netizen commented, "Even last 5-6 years when his movies weren’t doing very well, everyone ditched and start dissing him, in muted voice. People like Farah and Karan who owe their career to him weren’t supportive. At least that’s what I felt." Another comment can be read as, "Atleast he managed to make one person happy - Yash Chopra." Being impressed by his power-packed performance, filmmaker, Sanjay Gupta penned a heartfelt note for the actor on his X handle (previously known as Twitter) on September 9, 2023. The filmmaker mentioned how the film, Jawan took him back to the 90s, when SRK stood up to the underworld. In his tweet, Sanjay mentioned that once, Shah Rukh fiercely told the underworld people that they could kill him, but he would never bow in front of them.
