Shah Rukh Khan is riding high on his professional front at the moment. The actor, who has delivered back-to-back box-office hits with films like Pathan and Jawan is all set to be back on the celluloid with his upcoming film, Dunki. Helmed by eminent filmmaker, Rajkumar Hirani, the film stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Sunil Grover amongst others. And now, during a recent interaction, Bollywood’s baadshah revealed a hilarious anecdote about his co-star, Vicky Kaushal.
Recently, the makers of the upcoming film, Dunki released a new clip featuring SRK and Taapsee, as they interacted along with Rajkumar Hirani. While discussing various anecdotes from the shooting diaries of their upcoming film, SRK particularly delved upon the off-screen equation he shared with Vicky Kaushal, with whom he is starring in a movie for the first-ever time. Shah Rukh revealed how during the filming of a particular classroom scene, he and Vicky came quite closer to one another. Hilariously referring to it as pyaar, SRK revealed:
“Classrooms ke jo scenes hain... iske ander ek aisa scene hai jaha main nimbu brother ban chuka hu Vicky Kaushal ka. Log blood brothers bante ha, main nimbu brothers ban chuka hu. Bohut prem ho chuka hai. Ek do baar toh usne mujhe phone kar ke bhi bola ki 'Katrina se maine jaldi shaadi kar li... agar shaadi nahi ki hoti toh main aap se kar leta!”

In a previous interview with Bollywood Hungama, Vicky Kaushal opened up about his lifetime chance of working with as big a star as Shah Rukh Khan for the upcoming film, Dunki. Highlighting how it was everything dream-come-true for him, Vicky stated:
“Unko milna hi dream come true hota hai, unke saath kaam karna to socho kitna bada dream come true hai. So main bohot zyada detail mein baat nahi kar sakta uske baare mein, because there's a different process of that. But itna main zaroor bol sakta hu ki unke saath kaam karke mujhe pata laga ki voh Badshaah kyu hain. He is something else. Unke jaisa koi hai nahi.”
During his stint in the chat show, Koffee With Karan, Vicky Kaushal opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan and heaped praises on the latter. Vicky talked about SRK’s dedication towards work and shared how the latter apologised to him just because the former couldn’t shoot a scene with him and had to do it instead with SRK’s body double. Vicky further added that Shah Rukh Khan was ready to do the scene again, just so that Vicky can do it better with his cues.

Back on December 12, 2023, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted visiting the shrine of Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu in the wee morning hours. In the videos of his visit that has circulated on the internet, Shah Rukh Khan can be seen wearing a hooded jacket and face mask, as he arrived in the temple premises amidst an entourage of security personnel.
