Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly the king of hearts. Hailed as King Khan, Shah Rukh knows how to send his global fandom into a collective meltdown by just spreading his two arms and striking his signature pose. Throughout his acting career spanning more than three decades, SRK provided his fans with some of the biggest blockbusters. Even in his 50s, the handsome actor can just make people scream their hearts out with his acting prowess, dance, and action skills. The year 2023 has been extremely fruitful for the actor as he delivered back-to-back superhits like Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki. However, Pathaan was a comeback for SRK after five years. However, Shah Rukh recently opened up about the reason behind the same.
As per News 18, in a recent interview, Shah Rukh Khan was asked about the reason for taking a 4-year-long break after his movie, Zero. To this, the actor shared that it was never a break for him. Sharing more about the same, Shah Rukh mentioned that he thought of spending some time with himself as it is a much-needed factor for actors to be close to themselves for a while. Sharing more details about the same, Shah Rukh said:
"I think actually I never took the 4 year long break. Honestly for 1, 1 and a half year, I thought – Mai Thoda Sa Apne Aap Se Door Ho Gaya. Actor ko apne Kareeb rahna bahut zaroori jai. Films are so big and huge, sometimes you get carried away not in a bad way. I just wanted to be with myself. I though I’d sit home for 6-8 months, because at that time didn’t sign any films too. And again, I don’t file films in a jiffy. I am lazy internally.”

Further in the interview, Shah Rukh Khan shared that he thought of taking a short break, but then the pandemic hit, which increased the span of his break. The actor mentioned that there had been no conscious effort or thought process, but during that time, he watched a lot of films for which he generally didn't get much time. Sharing more about the same, SRK stated that while watching a whole lot of films he understood what the audience prefers, so he has been working on that field accordingly. He also expressed his joy over providing fans with a lot of excitement this year. SRK said:
"I wanted to sit and rest. I think I sat for a year and then pandemic happened, to that break became for 2.5 years to 4 years. But there was no conscious effort or thought process. But yeah, in that time I watched a lot of films – all types and kinds of films. I rarely get the time to do that. Then I thought, there are films which i don’t like but the masses like toh maybe I should pick films of that kind. I am very happy that this year, I’ve been able to entertain so much. To end my entertaining year with Dunki is the biggest high for me. Itna enterain kare ki I again take a break for 2-4 years.”
Shah Rukh Khan, apart from being a talented actor, is a doting father to his kids, and he often proves the same. However, during the press meeting for his film, Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan shared why he has been working hard and why he wants to deliver five blockbuster films back-to-back. The actor credited his elder children, Aryan and Suhana, for the same. Shah Rukh said Aryan and Suhana told him that although they felt what their father's stardom felt like, their little brother, AbRam couldn't understand SRK's aura, considering his tender age. SRK revealed that it's for the little one of their family that he has to work hard.

Shah Rukh Khan is also known for his witty responses, and he often interacts with his fans with his 'AskSrk' session. It was a few days ago when SRK was asked by his fans about how he gets over his anxiety. To this, SRK gave an adorable reply by saying that he writes and spends time with his kids in his anxious moments.
