Yes, everyone's favourite superstar, Shah Rukh Khan owns a huge piece of land on the moon called the 'Sea of Tranquility' as per the Lunar Registry. To everyone's surprise, the land has been gifted to him. Every year, an Australian lady buys a little land for him on the moon on his birthday. In an interview with Zee News in 2009, Shah Rukh revealed that he received the certificate from the Lunar Republic Society every year.

The 'tranquillity' means calmness and the land on the moon, which Shah Rukh owns is named 'Sea of Tranquillity, which perfectly reflects his personality traits. Shah Rukh was quoted as saying:
"An Australian lady buys a little land on the moon for me every year on my birthday. She has been buying it for a while now and I get these certificates from the Lunar Republic Society. She writes me colourful emails (in the sense one line is red, one is blue and so on). I feel blessed to have the love of so many people worldwide."
A fan named, Sandi talked to Glamsham and revealed that she has been gifting a land on the moon to her favourite superstar. She added that she had been writing to him for quite some time, but he never replied. However, she was 'over the moon' literally when he mentioned her in an interview. She was quoted as saying:
"Though I have written to Shah Rukh many times, I know that he doesn’t answer fan mail, but when he mentioned me in his interview, it’s more than compensated! I was understandably ‘over the Moon’ with joy. Shah Rukh has shown me such respect and gratitude for what I have done for him that he will always be my hero."
