According to a recent announcement by the Mumbai Police, Shah Rukh Khan had filed a written complaint to the state government authorities over receiving an array of death threats via phone calls, post the release of his two films, Jawan and Pathan. Moreover, in another report quoted by The Indian Express, on behalf of the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department revealed that the actor has been granted Y+ security with immediate effect. In the bulletin issued by the department on October 5, 2023, SRK will now get a total of 11 security personnel to his safety, which would include 6 commandos, 4 police guards and one traffic clearance vehicle. Moreover, a number of policemen would now also be stationed at his Mumbai residence, Mannat.

He could be quoted as saying:
“Toh mai jo galtiyaan karu, jitna bigda hu, jitni kharab cheezein karu, usko koi shambhal saake toh mujhe lagta hai ki Gauri ne bahut sambhala hai. Maine bahut galtiyaan ki hai, bahut battamiziyan ki hai, bahut ghatiyan ki hai, lekin kahi nah kahi pe usne chup rehekar mujhe bahut sambhala hai."
