Alia Bhatt Is A Carbon Copy Of Mom, Soni Razdan And Shabana Azmi Gives A Proof Of The Same

Have you ever heard of the Latin saying, "Matre pulchra filia pulchrior”? If we have left you wondering and solving it out, fret not, this means, "A daughter more beautiful than her beautiful mother” in English. Well, this goes aptly for one of the famous mom-daughter duos from the Tinseltown, Alia Bhatt and Soni Razdan. While Alia is supremely cute beyond words, her mother, Soni ji is ageing like a fine wine. And do you know from whom has Alia got those perfect features? It’s none other than her mom, Soni Razdan! (Also Read: Ajay Devgn Reacts On Constant Spotlight On Kids, Nysa Devgan And Yug Devgan, Shares His Concerns)

Remember a few days back, on June 25, 2019, Soni Razdan had posted a throwback picture of herself from the days when she was 21 years old. As soon as she had shared the picture, netizens had gone crazy pinpointing the uncanny resemblance her superstar daughter, Alia shares with her. In case you had missed out on the picture we are referring to, take a gander and refresh your memory right now:

Now, on September 14, 2019, Soni Razdan’s co-star from the movie, Mandi, and a famous actress herself, Shabana Azmi took to her official Instagram handle and posted a lovely throwback picture stamping on the resemblance that Alia and Soni share. Shabana has shared a still from the film, Mandi and along with the same, she wrote, “#Alia Bhatt looks exactly like her mother #Soni Razdan . Here is proof. Still from #Mandi.” Take a look and wonder yourself:

Isn’t Alia Bhatt a carbon copy of her mom, Soni Razdan? Being nostalgic about this movie, a few days back, a similar throwback picture (a coloured one though!) from the same movie, featuring Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil was shared by Soni herself. She had worded her post as, "Memories of Mandi. Women in Indian Cinema - Soni Razdan, Shabana Azmi and Smita Patil in Shyam Benegal's Mandi (1983)." (Checkout: Akshay Kumar And Twinkle Khanna Showered Son, Aarav With Heartfelt Wishes On His 17th Birthday)

Just like any proud mother, even Soni Razdan can’t thank God enough for Alia Bhatt’s excellent career graph so far. In an interaction with Pinkvilla, she was all-praises for her daughter and was quoted as saying, “She is my daughter, so I don't want to keep praising her. I think that what she is doing is good and she should continue doing it. Not only she chooses great films, but great films are also choosing her, interesting roles are also coming to her. She is coming to an interesting time in the industry which is ready for actresses like Alia who are doing different things. I think all actresses today are now wanting to do different things."

She had further added, “On one level, I also feel lucky that she is coming from this time where there are very one-dimensional roles for women. For example, her character in Gully Boy is such a wonderful character. It's such a role model for young girls. Earlier, nobody wrote such characters. So, you also need somebody who can write characters like that and also somebody who can play them. So she happens to be one person who is able to play these roles. And that's great for her. I hope she keeps on getting better as she is only 26 and as she grows older, she will get better and does more work. As a mom, I am looking forward to it." (Also Read: Sushmita Sen Sizzles In Black Bikini With White Shrug In Her Latest Ocean Holiday With Rohman Shawl)
