Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter, Sara Ali Khan has time and again showed her fascination and love for her half-brother, just like other B-town celebrities, in interviews or through social media. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son, Taimur Ali Khan has made everyone go crazy over him at such a young age. In an interview with Filmfare, when Sara was asked if Taimur is the biggest star in the family, the Kedarnath debutante replied, "Yes, hands down. He walks out of the house and it makes the news. While we have to work hard for it." Well, we can't agree more!
In the same interview when she was asked the best thing she has inherited from her parents, Sara smiled and replied, “My father’s mind and my mom’s heart.” When asked what are the dos and don’ts set by her parents, Sara retorted, “My parents insist that whether it’s being a good actor or a level-headed person, you need to make your own mistakes. So, short of preventing me from jumping off a building, my parents are okay with me taking my own call and making my own decisions. The only dos and don’ts are things like don’t lie, don’t be dishonest. Dishonesty shows in your eyes and no make-up artist or DOP (director of photography) will be able to hide that. So, just be real.”
Speaking about what fascinates her about her grandmother, Sharmila Tagore, Sara gushed, “She’s the epitome of grace and elegance. That’s something I admire. She’s my grandmother so there’s a lot of respect for her. I strike a balance between respect and closeness. I can talk to her about almost anything. A promo clip of Sara Ali Khan’s interview on Famously Filmfare released recently, wherein she was asked if she would slap her brother, Ibrahim Khan for Rs 1 crore and well, Sara had a hilarious answer for it. The Simmba actress replied, "I would slap him even for Rs 1 lakh." Here’s the video:
Sometime back, in an interview with Mumbai Mirror, when Sara was asked about her equation with her brother Ibrahim Khan and half-brother, Taimur Ali Khan, she retorted, "Both are bundles of cuteness and equally naughty. Their naughtiness takes different shapes because they are of different sizes. Taimur’s still a child and I can’t wait for him to grow up to bond with him. Ibrahim’s 18 and we’re very close. There’s nothing about me he doesn’t know while I know just 10 per cent of his life because he can be somewhat shady (chuckles). My mom, Ibrahim and I are a close unit."
When asked if Ibrahim too wants to join the film industry, the big sister proudly replied that he will be a better actor than her. Sara stated, “He does and from what I’ve seen of him on stage, he’ll be a better actor than me. Recently he gave me a page from his play. I’ve no idea if he had got his lines right because I couldn’t take my eyes off his face. He’s that good. But wanting to be an actor and understanding what it’s about and knowing this is what you want to do is a journey.
