In millions of media interactions, Sara Ali Khan has proudly shared how her mother, Amrita Singh has aced her job as a single mother and gave her the best childhood. But that doesn't mean, she is not close to her father, Saif. We remember a few months ago, in an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Saif had shared that he may not have been responsible at various times while he was in his 20s, but he has always been there and ready to do the best that he can for his kids. Saif had clearly stated that he had never felt like an absentee father.
Well, that's true as Sara perfectly described Saif as a father in a recent interview with the Hindustan Times. She said, "I know my father very well. Dad is like me, so he says what he is thinking at that particular point. He never really says things for any ulterior motive. I love my mother a lot. I think when you have a lot of time to show a feeling or emotion, it’s easier. Mum is a single mother and I am everything because of her but she has every day to show how much she loves me. She further said, "The only thing that I know about dad is that he has always been a great father. He has always been there without even living with us. So, I think he deserves a special hug and love from me for never making me feel that he doesn’t live with me because he was, and is always just a phone call away. And that’s really comforting."
Talking about Sara and Saif's bond, it is still same, despite the fact that Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh had an ugly divorce. On the occasion of Father's Day, Sara had flipped through the old photo albums and had shared a series of pictures with her abba. Along with it, she had written, "Happy Fathers’ Day Abba. In one of the interactions with the Vogue magazine, Sara had talked about her father and had said, "He’s a lot like me—we’re both readers, we both like history, we’re both travellers. He is 25 years older than me, which isn’t a lot. I am right in between the age gap of Taimur (Saif and Kareena’s son) and my father."
in an interview with the Mid-Day, Sara had shared that her daddy, Saif doesn't like discussing films with her and had stated, "He looks at me like I'm a traitor for discussing films. He lives with Kareena [Kapoor], is a brother to Soha, and is an actor's son. So, now, if I discuss work, he's like, 'Please don't do this to me.' So, we don't talk about films often.
