And the times when receiving a love letter was the beginning of an epic love story, but then came the era of mobile phones and every 'emotion' became a 'digital emoticon'. No matter, how much technology has made us stay connected with our lovers, but it can never replace the joy of holding hands on an early morning walk. And a similar kind of love had brewed between Bollywood couple, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh. For those who don't know, it was in the year 2002, when Genelia and Riteish had met each other for a film, Tujhe Meri Kasam, but they had never thought that they would be spending a lifetime together. Initially, Genelia had thought that her co-star, Ritiesh was a spoiled brat with full of tantrums. But later, she had found Riteish an interesting person and that was the start of their friendship had turned into love.
On October 1, 2020, Riteish took to his Instagram handle and posted couple of pictures of his new bearded look. In the picture, we can see Riteish had donned an ensemble by Raghavendra Rathore's ensemble. When Genelia was tested COVID-19 positive last month, she had talked about her journey. In an interview with the Mid-Day, Genelia had talked about the tough fight and how her hubby, Riteish had helped her recover. She had shared the whole story of finding out that she was infected by COVID-19, and had shared, "We were in close contact with someone who had tested positive, so we did the tests as a safety measure. I was sure I hadn't contracted the virus as I didn't show any symptoms. So, it was surprising when I was the only one in the family to test positive. Though I remained asymptomatic, I tested positive again after 14 days. So, I was recommended another week of quarantine." Genelia had further shared how difficult it was to be without her kids, "My doctor had warned me that those quarantining feel bouts of loneliness. It was tough to be locked away from Riteish and the kids. Thankfully, Riteish, my mother and mother-in-law, Riaan, Rahyl and my friends would take turns calling me. They made sure I didn't feel lonely."
Coming back to their lovestory, in an interview with The Times of India, Riteish and Genelia had talked about their first meeting. He had shared, "I was flying to Hyderabad for the test shoot of Tujhe Meri Kasam and I was told that the girl opposite me would be there. I walked out of the airport and met Genelia’s mom. Then I saw this tall girl looking in the opposite direction, completely ignoring me. I was like, ‘Why is she behaving like this?’" To which Genelia had interrupted and had said, "I did say, ‘Hi!’ I’d found out two days before that he was the Chief Minister’s son so I assumed he was a spoilt brat, a typical politician’s son, so I thought I’d give him attitude before he did!
