According to a report of Pinkvilla, the veteran actors are all set to hit the screen once again after their last film, Besharam. As per the report, Rishi ji has been approached to portray the character played by actor, Soumitra Chatterjee in the Hindi remake of the Bengali film, Posto. The report further said that Neetu ji has been paired opposite Rishi ji.
In the film, Neetu ji will play the role of Rishi ji’s wife. According to a source, “Neetu Kapoor has also been offered the film. She will be playing the lead opposite Rishi ji, playing his wife in the movie. On September 29, 2018, a tweet from Rishi Kapoor jetting off abroad for treatment had created a lot of speculations about the actor undergoing treatment for cancer. But later it was his wife, Neetu Kapoor’s cryptic New Year 2019 post, that had given a confirmation for the same. Taking to her Instagram handle, she had shared a picture from their celebrations. Along with the picture, she had written, “Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year!!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign!!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health.”
In an interaction with the Mid-Day, Rishi ji had shared how Neetu ji proved to be his rock during the cancer treatment in New York. Rishi Kapoor had retorted, “I have learnt to remain calm with my family and fans. I owe it to them; they have given me so much love and sent good wishes. Neetu has been my rock and has shouldered all the responsibilities. So, has been my family, who would drop in to give me the strength to battle my illness.”
Like any other husband and wife, the couple had their own share of ups and downs in their marriage. In an interview with The Times Of India, Neetu Kapoor had stated, “There always comes a phase in a couple’s life when there would be friction, disagreements. Rishi and I also went through that stage. It was just one of those problems, which only the husband and wife would understand. Fortunately, we were able to sort out our differences.
