Birthdays not only make us happy but always come in with a lot of surprises. Everyone plans a lot of things and wishes to make the best of every moment of their birthday. Sharad Malhotra had surprised everyone when he had announced his wedding with Delhi-based fashion designer, Ripci Bhatia. Sharad, who was in a serious relationship with his Yeh Hai Mohabbaein actress, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya had shocked everyone when he had decided to get married to Ripci as he has always been open about being commitment-phobic. On April 20, 2019, Sharad and Ripci took to their wedding vows first in a Sikh wedding, followed by a Hindu wedding. Since their wedding, the two have been quite open about their love and keep on posting mushy pictures with each other.
On January 9, 2020, Sharad turned a year older and it was his ladylove, Ripci who posted an adorable birthday wish for her hubby. She took to her Instagram handle and shared beautiful pictures of herself with Sharad. This is Sharad’s first birthday post marriage and is supposed to be a special one. In an interview with the E Times, Sharad talks about how he is celebrating his birthday. Revealing the same, he said, "I am looking forward to spending time with my wife. Since I am not shooting, I’ll spend quality time with her. I am living life one day at a time." Sharad further talked about receiving one of the most awaited gifts and retorted, “Birthdays are always about getting pampered. This year, I have cut several cakes and received a lot of gifts, including my most prized possession, a guitar. Sharad Malhotra and Ripci Malhotra never shy away from posting doolworthy pictures with each other. The two had gone to Istanbul and Turkey to ring in New Year 2020 and have been sharing beautiful pictures on their social media handles. Wishing all her fans on New Year, Ripci had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared an adorable picture. Along with the picture, she had written, “Last day of this beautiful decade...I see this pic and all I can say is trust your journey and always always have faith A very very Happy New Year from us to y'all!”
In an interaction with the Bombay Times, Sharad has once shared, "I am really excited to step into this new phase of my life. I am trying to adjust both my personal and professional lives. The production house of Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki has been very adjusting during this time. Also, my gym timings have changed. Previously, I used to hit the gym after wrapping up my day’s shoot, now I am going early in the morning so that I can come home as soon as I am done with my work."
In the same interview, when Sharad was asked when he knew Ripci was the one for him, he had retorted, "I don’t think there was one [particular] moment when I decided that I wanted to marry her. We were out on a drive and I thought I would take a chance. I asked her (about marrying me) and in case, she refused, I would just laugh it off. But she agreed. Later, we informed our families and they agreed too. So now here we are. Luckily, everything just fell into place."
