There are very few Bollywood celebrities in recent times, who had come out in public to confess their love for one another. One such couple is Fukrey’s ‘bholi punjaban’, Richa Chadha and ‘zafar bhai’, Ali Fazal. The duo had shared the screen space together for the first time in the film, Fukrey and that is exactly when rumours about a ‘possible’ love story brewing between them had started to come out. And then, when Richa Chadha had flown off for the Venice Film Festival, to accompany her then-rumoured boyfriend, Ali Fazal. Everyone was sure that this is exactly the moment when both Ali and Richa had confirmed that they were madly-in-love with one another. Since then, we have seen them together on a lot of occasions, from dinner dates to interviews, it's always worth having a look at this lovely couple.
On March 7, 2020, Richa Chadha took to her Instagram handle and posted a video. In which, we can see Richa wearing a ring on the ring finger of her left hand. Well, the reason why there’s a huge buzz about this ring goes to the fact that most of the women wear their wedding ring on the finger next to their left hand's pinky finger. Because according to medical science, there’s a vein that travels straight through that finger to the heart, thus it is a symbol of love. Isn’t the ring beautiful? Well, this isn’t the first time, when we are hearing something related to Richa and Ali’s marriage plans. For instance, let’s talk about their official application for marriage registration that went viral on the internet last month. According to a report of the Mid-Day, a copy of Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s application for marriage registration had given hints towards a court marriage in mid-April. One of their reliable sources had revealed that the couple is trying to wind-up their shoots before March 31. The source had also revealed, “The duo submitted their application on February 15, 2020. So, as per the marriage registration rules, the wedding can take place any day post-March 15. Considering Ali and Richa have shoots lined up, they hope to wrap up their commitments by March 31 and dedicate April to their wedding functions. The preparations are on in full swing. Their shaadi will take place mid-April, followed by the court wedding in Mumbai.”
However, when the Mid-Day had reached to one of the official spokespersons of the couple and had asked about these speculations. The spokesperson had explained, “Currently, only the date for the registration has been taken. As per the process, a three-month window is valid [for the wedding to take place] from the date that has been allotted. The couple is working towards an official registration in the last week of April, post which the celebrations will follow. All we can say is that it's a happy occasion, and all the parties involved are elated.”
So far, the couple hasn’t murmured a single word about their marriage plans to the media. But they have been quite vocal about their love for each other in a lot of interviews. On one side, Ali Fazal never skips a chance to express his immense love for Richa through his Instagram handle. And on the other, it is Richa, who never shies away from talking about their relationship. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Richa had opened up about her feelings for Ali and had quoted, “I have had bad experiences with actors on outdoor shoots and I never thought I'll fall for an actor. But with this experience, I have learnt that never say never. What we like about each other is that we give each other space and as we both are actors, we understand the demands of the profession.
