It all started when Deepika made some saucy revelations about being in an ‘open-ended’ relationship with Ranveer during their courtship years, as they appeared in Koffee With Karan 8. And amidst the roar about the same, Redditors have dug out clips of some old interviews of Ranveer Singh.
Taking to the discussion portal, Reddit, a user recently shared a compilation clip of Ranveer Singh’s various interviews, wherein he could be seen narrating quite different backstories of meeting his now-wife, Deepika Padukone, for the first time. In the first clip, Ranveer, in an interview with Filmfare, shared that he met Deepika at an award function. In the following clip, the duo appeared at a panel discussion, wherein Ranveer revealed that he saw Deepika during a dinner at a restaurant that he went to with his family on his birthday.

As soon as the video was posted, eagle-eyed netizens noted the same and began to post their witty reactions in the comment section. Well, a significant section of netizens was irked at the different first-meet stories that Ranveer recalled at various moments. While some users took a dig at such revelations, others called Deepika and Ranveer a fake couple. A netizen commented, "Wasn't there the one at SLB flat as well? The crab between the teeth story?" Another user said, "They really have multiple lives in parallel universes."

A few weeks back, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had made a power-packed appearance on the controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan. While the audiences were expecting a wholesome, entertaining episode featuring the two of them, on the contrary, some of the couple’s revelations on the couch made them a victim of immense trolling in no time. However, Deepika was bashed the most after she revealed that her courtship with Ranveer was open-ended, as she used to date other men while still being committed to him.

Amidst the other juicy revelations that Deepika and Ranveer made on Koffee With Karan, the latter also revealed a startling detail about his engagement with his wifey. He mentioned how it was way beyond his resources at that time to procure an engagement ring for Deepika. In his words:
“Yes sir, beyond my resources at the time, perhaps, but even so a very impressive one.”
