It was November 14-15, 2018, when the world united to witness the union of two beautiful souls, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. Though DeepVeer (as fans fondly call them) took a while to share pictures from their dreamy and extremely private Italy wedding, once they were out, we couldn’t help but swoon over how amazing they had looked together. With their more than half-a-decade of relationship, Ranveer and Deepika began a new chapter of their lives and embarked on their journey of ‘happily ever after’. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s marriage had made us wish to find a soulmate who would love and admire us the same way they love each other. In an interview post her wedding, when Deepika was asked if she would add her husband’s surname to hers, she had replied, "It's not true. In fact, after that interview, I realised that it's a conversation that Ranveer and I have never even had. So, we haven't been like 'oh so do you think you need to change your surname?' That (chat about it in an interview) was, of course, a joke of sorts. It has never crossed either of our minds. When I was asked I was like 'oh, we haven't even thought about it.' Maybe, because it's not important. Also, I've worked extremely hard to create my identity and so has he. So my question is, 'why would he have to do that?' I think what people see of us is a very minuscule part of our entire being and existence. But at the core of it, we are very alike."
For the July 2019 edition of the Femina magazine, Ranveer Singh has posed for the cover and it was yet again, hard to miss the charm, warmth and adrenaline rush that he brings with his every appearance! In an interview with the same magazine, Ranveer was asked, “What’s the first thing you do when you reach home after a trip?” To which, he replied, "I grab my wife and kiss her." Isn’t he the best husband ever?
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have made social media PDA a thing, and they are acing the game like how! For instance, a few days back, Deepika had posted a picture of her and Ranveer’s hands, holding each other’s tightly so as to not let one another go! Along with the picture, Deepika had written, “There’s something so real about holding hands, some kind of complex simplicity, saying so much by doing so little...”
Every move that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh make, only makes us yearn more as to what is next. Sometime back, Deepika launched her own personal website and for the same, her doting hubby, Ranveer had penned a heartfelt open letter for ‘the most beautiful girl in this world’, titled as 'Deepika Padukone' and bylined as, 'By Ranveer Singh', which has been made open on her website. The note written by Ranveer could be read as, “Deepika is the most amazing person I’ve met in my life. And I’m not just saying this because she’s my wife. It could be further read as, “I can safely say I’m the closest person to her in this world. I know her deeply as a person and I’ve collaborated closely with her as a professional. These qualities make her a true and authentic artiste- she’s one of the finest actors in the world. In her dealings, she is straight-shooting, sharp and fair – an absolute and thorough professional. She’s got inner strength, resilience, grit and an iron-will. Her discipline and commitment is unparalleled. Her path breaking achievements have changed the game time and again. A woman so righteous and full of virtue, that she commands respect.”
The letter concluded with, “I sometimes stop and admire her, aware that she is a special soul, born for greatness. She’s born to positively impact lives through the shining beacon of her virtuous being. That she preserves a vulnerable and innocent, childlike side of herself exclusively for me is inexplicably gratifying. I am the proudest husband in the world. She inspires me to be the best man I can possibly be. She makes my life worth living. She is truly…the light of my life.” Isn’t this so amazing to know that someone loves you like this?
