Ever since we saw Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh sharing screen space and spreading magic with their phenomenal chemistry in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, we knew that these two are for keeps! While we surely knew that something was brewing between this duo, but little did we know that one day we will regard them as 'mister and missus'. But as the theory of universe conspiring towards fulfilling your wishes goes, there is no greater pleasure than being married to the man who adores you like no other! And that is exactly when Deepika and Ranveer decided on being one another’s for eternity on November 14-15, 2018. With an array of firsts happening in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s life after marriage, the duo made their first appearance at the IIFA Awards as husband and wife, yesterday (September 18, 2019). With the lady wearing a purple Gaurav Gupta gown (the details of the same will be shared in the later paragraphs to come), had looked resplendent in it. While Deepika had shared an array of pictures showcasing her look for the evening, Ranveer, on one of the pictures had indulged in some major PDA (as usual) and wrote, “Baby ... you’re killin me.” Here’s a snapshot of the same:
As Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh sat together at the IIFA Awards, an adorable gesture of the latter for his wife had yet again swept us away! Wondering what it is? Well, a picture snapped by the paparazzi had Ranveer hold Deepika’s long veil as she neared her seat! In the picture, Ranveer was walking behind Deepika, holding the feather trail of her veil, as she walked ahead of him, greeting and smiling people who were coming in her way. Talking about Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s, IIFA 2019 attires, the latter, as we have already mentioned, had sported a Gaurav Gupta gown. Sharing details of the same, the ace designer had written, “Deepika Padukone in custom-made #GauravGuptaCouture. An Electric Violet Gown—with dramatic sleeves and a gossamer tulle hood, complemented with a soft feather trail. The electric violet is inspired by stained glass windows that reflect a beautiful blend of lavender and amaranth purple hues as the sunsets. The galactic glass multi-shade embroidery is enhanced with plumage of degrade’ feathers.” Ranveer, on the other hand, brought about an absolute quirk in his attire and had sported a jacket, pants, boots, carried a skull-headed stick from international designers and brands Moschino, Carrera and Franck Muller Geneve. On April 21, 2019, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had attended the former’s cousin’s wedding at the JW Marriott, Mumbai, and had looked ethereal. Donning a white halter-neck blouse, statement earrings, and red gajra, Bollywood’s Padmaavati had looked like a diva and her hubby, Ranveer, had looked dapper in an all-black, backwards gelled-hair look. While their look was definitely the talk of the event but Ranveer’s gesture of carrying his wife’s heels in his hand as she interacted with people at the party had made us shout, “Ranveer Singh, you have already achieved the husband of the millennium tag!”
Both Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are riding high in their professional as well as personal spheres. Both of their biopics (Chhapaak and ’83) on real-life superheroes are widely awaited with bated breath by all. But what largely interests us are the new tit-bits that comes in every now and then about their married life. In an interview with the Femina, Ranveer had answered the most sought-after query about their married life. When asked if he and his wifey, Deepika fight, the doting hubby had blatantly replied, “We don’t fight.”
Ranveer Singh had also revealed an unknown characteristic about his lady, Deepika Padukone. He had revealed, “There is a child-like quality to her that nobody other than me has the privilege of seeing. It’s a precious part of my life.” Further sharing a post-marriage secret about their life after marriage, the Gully Boy actor had shared, “It has only gotten better. Now, we’re cocooned in love, and there is no space for doubt or misgiving. It’s grounded-ness, centred-ness, security, warmth, and joy. We share experiences and laugh together.
