The sudden demise of Bollywood actress, Sridevi has impacted the whole nation. However, it was Janhvi, whose entire world was changed within seconds. And in that moment, the 21-year-old girl left her carefree attitude behind and became a pillar of support for her father, Boney Kapoor and sister, Khushi Kapoor. Last year, has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions for Janhvi. Apart from suffering the loss on the personal front, she had entered the industry with her first film, Dhadak, and now, she is a part of many ongoing projects.
Janhvi is all set to feature with Angad Bedi in the upcoming film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. While Janhvi plays the role of the protagonist, Angad is going to enact the role of her brother. Recently, in an interview with ZoomTV.com, Angad talked about working with the young actress. He said, "She's a lovely girl, she's extremely hardworking. She's extremely well-prepped for her part all time. She knows the script back and forth. She knows her lines, she knows the other actors' lines also. Where she comes from the way she has projected, she is a star with the millennial audience." Angad further shared that Janhvi has a glimpse of Sridevi, "She has a great lineage of Sridevi ji, being Sridevi ji's daughter. When she performs you can see a glimpse of Sridevi ji in her eyes. She's a very likeable person, she's got a lot of humility. And the way she respects people and talks to them. There is a lot to learn from her."
Coming back to Janhvi's huge loss, in an interview, she had shared how she is still coping up with her mother not being around. She had stated, "I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months."
In an interview with the Vogue magazine last year, Janhvi had revealed that her mother never wanted her to be an actress. She had said, "She never wanted me to be an actress. She was more relaxed about Khushi getting into films. She thought I was naïve, that I wasn’t thick-skinned enough. She wanted us to live a more relaxed life. She loved what she did but you know it was intense."
In another interview, Janhvi had opened up on the fact how her entire family has come together to protect them, and had shared, "The family has come together. It’s made us feel safe and secure. Even for papa (Boney Kapoor), it’s a source of comfort. It has definitely tied us together. We’ve lost mum, and I don’t think that’s a loss any of us will ever get over."
